Good product, horrible instructions
So, the axles themselves are built well and function well. The instructions that come with them for putting them onto a Gen 7 are absolutely terrible. Buy the axles, but watch YouTube videos to figure out how to put them on. Throw the instructions into the recycling bin.

Take your time
Order a extra set of center drive shafts, my set screws that hold the shafts to the front and rear axles stripped while trying to remove. Way too much thread locker. Even tried drilling out. Save the headaches. Also the directions are dark, go right to redcat racing and download the color pdf file.

Portals are the way to go
These were a nice upgrade and easy install into my gen7 Sport. I added extra grease and tightened all screws before install.

Great axles and probably 30 dollars worth of extras
I bought these to be a back up set for my gen8 scout 2. They are great axles, the set on my truck now have around 30 actual miles and I'm not easy on them. Plus all the extras they come with, slipper clutch pads, wheel hex nuts metal.

Horrible
I got my portal axles in three days ago. I spent about two hours putting them on my gen 7 pro. Today I took my rc to my friends and within the 1st 5 mins my rear axle broke! The plastic is junk I wouldnt recommend this product to anyone. The turning radius still sucks with this product also. Horrible experience. Thanks

Great Upgrade concept, weak parts... updated...
The kit was easy to install after watching the online video that RedCat provides. After initial testing and tuning I headed to the trails. After only approximately 20 minutes of driving the right front portal input gear broke and the pins were then lost from the axle. I am in the process of submitting a warranty Claim with RedCat and will follow up review with out come of the claim. After speaking with a rep at Red Cat I am confident that I will get replacement parts. I am hoping that they are a bit more durable!update 4/5/2019:received new parts from RedCat a few days after I submitted a warranty claim. A few weeks and many trail sessions later... So far so good they are holding up well. Would give 5 stars but am only upping to 4 stars based on how soon the product failed after install.

Needs to include coloured instructions
Axle is solid, but for a $130 dollars at least include coloured instructions, you can’t see much... but for the most part seems to be a good axle upgrade kit.
