Worked great for my 2012 VW Golf trunk latch. After a year or so I was unable to open the latch with the VW symbol on the hatch, but it still opens just fine with the keys.

This is a great product and it came in fast time. Easy to install. I would this seller again.

2011 VW Golf: This is my second purchase of this exact product. Works well, but failed after ~2 years. I anticipate the same failure rate, but at these prices, well worth the $. SO, I will make another purchase in about 1.5 years, anticipating the next failure and will have the part in hand to make the needed fix.

Very disappointed. Part just failed less then 4 months after install. Worked great until this evening. Had to tape the hatch down until I can buy OEM. To late to return that part.**Update**Contacted seller and they are sending me a replacement latch. Installation is simple so I don’t mind having to do it again. I changed my rating from 1 star to 4 due to their good customer service.

The rear latch made the grinding noise of death, and I looked at VW parts…. $180???So searched Amazon, found this and it fits/works perfectly! Can not say how long it will last, but at this price, I can replace.I did need to buy some square spline bits, size 8 was the winner.Easy to do, 15 minute job

YouTube replacement installEz to do less than 10 minutes or so.Works great direct replacement.Hopefully don’t need to do again tho. Truck doesn’t lock lol
