Well worth it
This is written for the true beginner and starts with how to tune and hold the banjo before it gets you into your first technique, a forward roll. The video is very detailed so you don’t have have unanswered questions as you move along. I really like the audio tracks so when you practice you hear the banjo as well as other instruments in a band. Makes practice so much more fun and more practice means better improvement. The second book in the series gets into more techniques and has a lot of audio tracks to enhance practice and get you ready to play with others

Value for the money equals exactly zero
This book "teaches" two rolls (picking techniques) for the banjo. The forward roll, which is the most basic, and the "7-note" roll, which I've not seen before, and is not materially different than a forward-reverse roll. That's it! 2 basic and very rudimentary techniques. The rest of the book is devoted to text that suggests ways to approach learning, and not much else.Save your money. This is as far from an instruction manual on warm-ups as you can get. Look online for the free information on banjo picking techniques, and banjo techniques to improve your speed, and you've already found more than this book will sell you.Worst purchase I've ever made, really.
