can i use ethernet adapter for fire stick with it?

Yes. I have it connected in-line along with the separate Ethernet adaptor. Both the ethernet adaptor and this cable pass the power onwards through to the Fire TV. This provides an ethernet port and a USB port, which ideally should both have been onboard the Fire TV.

Will this be able to charge my samsung galaxy tablet while i'm watching movies from a usb drive?

I don't think so , I've just tried it on my Samsung Galaxy tab 3 and it didn't charge or read from the usb - I don't think they supports OTG.

I can’t get this to connect to my Kindle fire hd 8 8th hen 2018. The otg is not recognised.

Not sure how to use it with a Kindke Fire. I use my for the Fire TV, to add extra memory for retro gaming.

Absolutely, but you need to configure the memory stick before connecting it to the fire stick. There is an online tutorial fit that though. Check Troypoint's website for that
