Manta Suppressor Sleeve

Awesome must-have for a suppressor. Sliding the sleeve onto the suppressor is a bit of an effort, but is still relatively easy (liberally use that hand cleaner provided!) and you are assured that the sleeve will not easily slide off.This sleeve was designed with the internal and external grooving to improve cooling. I cannot scientifically validate that, but in my experiences, the sleeve keeps a very cool surface that you can easily grab to remove a hot suppressor, or to ensure you do not burn/melt cases/accessories. I have this on a Dakota Varminter, which has an overall length of 9 inches, and have it installed to be flush with the muzzle end of the suppressor. I have yet to try cutting a second sleeve and locking it together to make a full 9 inch sleeve, but so far it doesn't appear that I need to when using this on my .300BO AR. This might change once I put the suppressor on the precision rifle - and if I do this, I'll update this review with that experience.

So, I was very happy with this suppressor cover. I was worried it may not fit the diameter, but it squeezed on nice and tight once using the lube it comes with. So anyone out there worried that this won't fit their diameter, it will fit 1.625" diameter and I would imagine that you could get it on something with up to 1.75" diameter. I knew it wouldn't be long enough, but this is the over cover I have seen on youtube reviews that the person could actually grab the suppressor cover immediately after shooting without gloves. There is even a video of someone using a blow torch on the inside of it while holding the cover the whole time. BOOM! I don't think it looks as cool as the fabric ones, but this seems to be the most useful product for what I needed. I also have the Manta Defense TAC-Wrap grip for my keymod rail and its the only thing I have been able to use and not burn my hand after shooting several hundred rounds. Manta makes some good stuff! Seriously consider this

I like this sleeve with one minor complaint -- it's pretty heavy. Heavier than it looks. I know, HTFU, but you will feel it if you're making quick target transitions, and your times will show it. If you've bought a heavy steel can, maybe you won't notice. If you spent the extra coin for a very light can and understand why, you might want to compare the weight of this thing to some of the other can covers out there.

Ive been running these for almost a year on two cans. they look big and bulky but they are very light wt. I love these especially after having destroyed several from TAB Gear and another manufacture. Ive fired over 100 rounds of .223 in under 5 minutes in a tactical scenario and was able to remove the can with the Manta cover and put my gun in a carry case. Try that with some of the other can covers and unless you put that can in col water for 30 seconds you won't be touching it for a while.

Fit is perfect for 1.5 x 7" can. Good texture and easy installation. Seller(gear meister) delivered very quickly, arrived same day as another item ordered the same day through prime, and packaged well. Haven't tested in the field yet so no feedback in that but not worried. Very satisfied all around so far.
