I love my new breakfast bar
I took an old dark brown counter top, primed it with a bonding primer, painted the background white and then used the stencils with acrylic paints. The sealant is polycrylic by minwax. I made some mistakes but am so much happier with the product than the start. I have some repeats next too each other; I didn't unload the brush enough a few times and got smears. I'm not sure how long the polycylic will protect but it is a light use area rather than the kitchen. The stencils were easy to use. You have to be a bit careful when washing them off so as not to bend the delicate parts but they held up well and I could use them for another project. Thanks!

Nice tiles
These are great little stencils. I have been using them to paint my tile in the kitchen. So far they are turning out great!

Easy stencils to work with.
Having a new deck built and found outdoor furniture to be rather dull and boring. So searched craigslist and found this sturdy bench, and used these stencils to give it new life. this was my first stenciling furniture project. I taped the 4 stencils together to created one 12x12 in stencil and rotated it as I went along to give it a random pattern. also since my bench was 14 in wide, I created a 1 in border so I didn't have to deal with a partial design. Think I made a mistake and should have overlapped the stencil along the edge so it wouldn't leave such big gaps. Filled the empty space with another motif. This will give my new deck some color. I find painting and stenciling to be an organic process...finding the right color combinations..adding and taking away etc. I'm happy with the results.

Happy overall!
This is not a fast project for the faint of heart, but with some adjustments it was satisfying success. These stencils are thick/sturdy enough to last through multiple repetitions of apply/paint/remove for any project. I bought a (suggested) can of Stencil Ease spray adhesive that allows you to stick the stencil to the surface of your painting area instead of using painters tape and it was a time and mood saver. I also used a level throughout to keep everything straight.Big temporal-spatial note: These stencils do not have a grout "groove" or cut-out to stencil in a "grout" line or any simple tricks in the instructions to paint them, so you have to be strategic in creating one. (i.e., the only "results" will be where the holes are and there is no grout line in the stencil to create a tile border.) I did the best I could while the stencils were in place before moving each one to the next space for stenciling and then went back with painters tape after the 'tiles' were dry to clean/straighten up the grout lines.I had some paint bleeding, but I believe it was due to the texture of the surface I was painting more than the quality of the stencil. I also used a super smooth 4" foam roller set and it did a great job.I also applied a coat clear polyurethane (semi-gloss) for low sheen and protection. I'd recommend viewing a few stenciling videos for more ideas before you start. There are several on the product pages that may help. Thus project took about 10 hours total. I love how it turned out!

Consider getting a can of stencil glue/ease to help secure to wall
We are in process or redoing our small bathroom. I decided to give these stencils a try and im glad i did. I love how they look. I did purchase a can of stencil ease to help secure and cut down on bleed under. Im really pleased with our results.

Attractive Stencil Set but Poor Quality
Used this for stencil on bisque tile. Tried several times but paint seeps under the stencil. Very hard to clean even water soluble paint. Cuts on the stencil are very fragile and rip easily. Will not purchase anymore although I liked the designs. Producer should use a higher quality plastic and not cut the stencil so finely

Nice stencils, think long and hard if doing your floor.
Did my main hallway. The pattern variation is very forgiving and I absolutely got better the more I did. Overall (and this is a general tip), not sure if I’m happy that I spent the amount of hours I did on this. Scratches and if you mop, it’s vulnerable for 3 days. It’s been 3 months and I may need to go back and scrape everything off...not fun.

GREAT STENCIL SET
I got these in 8x8 to stencil a cinder block raised bed garden. It's huge. And this stencil has held up. I've used just one throughout. The bed is 21 feet long and 2 feet high just to give a size on how well the stencil has held up. I will be using for other projects around my backyard as well. I have been using a spray adhesive by Elmers to adhere the stencil to the cinderblocks. I wipe the back side of the stencil to get all the paint off after each use and then respray with adhesive - and that takes care of any bleed throughs of paint. It is a really good value for the money. Highly recommend.
