Both the chain tensioner and the guide do work but they just seem a bit cheap, given that they aren't that cheap. They feel like a working prototype rather than finished products. The chain tensioner is the easiest to use and despite some rough edges is fine. The alignment tool needs some work. The laser doesn't point down enough and the grips don't have enough... Well... Grip. They give an idea of what's going on but that's about it. B- Could do better, see teacher.

Chain monkey works great however the laser was a waste of money as can't use it without taking the stupid chain garde off

I definately liked the idea of the purpose of these tools & yes they was easy to use in certain respects. I disliked them being made from plastic which means they would have a short life span and the chain monkeys' calibration is marked out on a flimsy sticker which is liable to come off with continued use. I watched the video on chain monkeys' website for correct use and found that chain tension was way too tight, that was after trying 3 times. The laser tool was useless. Again made of plastic and wobbled on the rear sprocket when trying to alignment rear wheel. Also the laser tool literally eats button batteries. I used 3 for about 10 mins work time and that included the supplied battery. The clamping section of the laser tool needs to be made so that it has a firmer grip so that it does'nt wobble. I am an engineer with 46 years experience with working on the tools and was very dissapointed with the quality & design. Great idea, but sadlly lacking on quality and design which does'nt warrant what I think is a high price.

Had a few problems with the delivery, but the supplier was very quick to resolve. As for the products, these are well made. The chain tension adjuster is brilliant and easy to use on both my bikes. The Chain alignment tool is a bit fiddly, especially with a chain guard fitted. It has limited use for a single swing arm where there is no mis-alignment, but good to check nothing is wrong elsewhere. I'd recommend them to other riders.

Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Also die Batterien halten bei mir schon Wochen. Es waren neue Marken Knopfzellen dabei und diese Größe ist überall zu bekommen. Der Kettenspanner funktioniert super. Man muss natürlich die Anleitung genau beachten und die Größe seiner Kette wissen bzw. messen und dann entsprechend einstellen. Es ist nicht der Kopf der Schraube entscheidend, sondern unten! Dann muss die Kette straff gespannt werden. Entfernt man dann den Spanner gibt die Kette nach. Die Kettenspannung wird sonst nur mit einer Hilfsperson gemessen, wenn einer draufsitzt. Hier braucht man es nicht. Natürlich ist sie dann lockerer. Der Laser funktioniert richtig, wenn man ihn richtig anwendet. Eigentlich kann man auch nichts falsch machen. Und dann geht man mit dem Laser der Kette entlang. Natürlich muss man vorher den Kettenschutz entfernen. Ich habe dann die Ausrichtung am Kettenspanner auf beiden Seiten nachgemessen und es war exakt. Die Einkerbungen sind immer schwer zu erkennen und es ist schwer ansonsten die Kette exakt auszurichten Es gibt dazu auch genug Videos auf YouTube. Ich hatte beim Kettenspanner auch den Fehler gemacht den Kopf und nicht den unteren Teil für die Einstellung zu nehmen. Aber viele mekkern erstmal und dann werden viele plötzlich still geben ihren Fehler nicht zu.
