Son loves it.
I love this game for my son. He’s in first grade and he’s behind on his sight words. My son suffers from autism level 2 and we’re in the process of getting him evaluated for add or adhd. It’s hard to teach him his sight words so I bought this game so that we can play it on family game night. I took the fishes with the words he needs to learn and once he’s got those down I’ll put in the rest of the fishes. But he loves this game at first he could only really get the easy words but now he’s starting to master the more challenging words for him. But it does take time and a lot of play time to see improvement. I bought this one and bingo Game for sight words but I like this one more because you can choose the words he’s struggling on and make it more individualized for his learning. I plan on using it with my toddler once he becomes a preschool age it will help with his motor skills and language.

My Kiddo loves this game!!
My 1st grade daughter absolutely loves this game, and trust me she's not one of those kids that enjoys educational material either, In fact she hates reading all together she finds it to mundane and repetitive so this was a game changer for us. My daughter has went up THREE reading level in just two weeks of having this game, and she doesn't even know that she's learning! I would HIGHLY recommend using this as a reading tool for any kid that is struggling with reading or finds regular reading activities boring or uninteresting. This was exactly what we needed to get our daughter on track, and it comes with multiple reading levels so we'll be able to use it for awhile. Once were done with it, I plan on donating it to her school so that it can be used to help other kids.

Great learning tool
I was looking for a fun tool to learn sight words and I am so happy that I found this fishing set. My son absolutely loves it. It’s so fun to play and learn at the same time. His reading skills improved a lot and he loves to read on his own now. I definitely recommend this!

Great concept!!! Niece loves it.
It's a great concept for young Learners. You can even add your own twists, like use it in a sentence, or spell it. There were a few pieces without magnets but overall, still functional. The most important thing is the reading levels. They are not as tough as anticipated. I have a level 2-3 reader. There were maybe 3 words, so far, from "level 5" that she didn't know. Thus the added twists to the game. My niece still loves it. And it's a great way to avoid guessing and memorization based on pictures.

A favorite and versatile game
This game is a favorite of the children in my reading classes. It's bright and sturdy. There are many ways to use the game. A child who is just learning letters can catch a fish and say any letters he/shek recognizes. Those who know the words can read them and make oral sentences. In one group, a child who didn't know any letters yet, was the group fish-weigher. He counted the letters in each fish caught, and announced the weight of the fish --the number of letters in it. A great, simple and versatile game. It arrived with the magnet having fallen out of one fishing rod. The magnet was loose in the box, but fixable with gorilla glue.

This teacher loves it!
I don't know why but I thought this might actually hold water. Well, it won't. Haha! It's a simulation but my students LOVE it. It comes with 2 magnets and lots of magnetic fish. I actually bought the one with words and simple math. The fish come separated by color. Only thing is, I wish there were lists per set of fish so that I could give answers for my students to fish out. I just asked my TA to create them. Easy day. Great for a math station!

Awesome Value!
The wooden, magnetic fish are really well made and will survive a lot of use. Packs up neatly in a small box for easy storage. The pool and fishing rods are small, but could easily be replaced with a kiddie pool and larger fishing rods if you wanted to use the fish with a much larger group of kids. Perfect as is for 2 children. My 5yo loved fishing and never noticed we were having fun and learning sight words. Better than worksheets any day! Would definitely recommend this product to teachers or homeschool families.

Good homeschool game
My 6/7yo homeschooling crew love this game! Didn’t love it so much at 5, but it grew on them, and helped with their reading. They like playing the game better than doing worksheets or such, and once they catch all the word fish, they trade and read each other’s too. We also made sentences with them when done, although that worked best with multiple levels/colors of fish in the mix. Love the different reading levels & fun they had!
