The Latte Factor: Why You Don't Have to Be Rich to Live Rich Review: Buy more than one - you'll want to loan them out (or give them away)! - I bought one for myself, and one for each of my kids. I've already loaned out 2 to people I know will be helped by it (maybe I need to get more!). I've read several of David's earlier books, and as a result of reading those, I have finally got a real shot at retiring. I started very late, but now I feel confident that I won't be a drain on my family as I age. His method is so practical, and so do-able, that just about anyone can do it (unlike David, I do understand that there are a small number of people living in extreme poverty that cannot rub two nickles together, and who aren't spending anything on unnecessary items - but hopefully this will be good information for when that ends, or for their kids). Most kids aren't being taught how to manage their money, and it shows. I had no idea, that's for sure! This book, written as a story, makes money management accessible even for younger kids. It's a must for teens and young adults, who NEED to know this stuff, before they get their first credit card. Buy this book. Read it. Give it away. Buy another and repeat. DO IT. It will change your life, and the lives of many others that you care about if you share it. Review: Great book for teens, early 20's, or anyone interested in how saving/investing works - If I had investing information delivered in this way when I was in college and just starting my career, I probably would feel more financially secure. We have given this book to all four of our kiddos and some of their college-age friends. Easy read and the information about saving and investing when you are young is told in such a relatable and interesting way. It gives visuals also to clearly explain compounding interest, which is awesome! I would highly recommend this book as a high school graduation gift or for anyone who would benefit from an easy-to-understand explanation about investing in your financial future.

Easiest to read financial book out there
I really like that this is written as a novel or a parable. This is a great book of simple financial truths for anyone at any age. It will especially appeal I think to those who would not normally read a "financial" book. I had access to an advance copy of the book and found it to be a quick and enjoyable read. I liked it so much I've ordered additional copies to give to my family. This will most likely be my go - to book for graduation gifts as this could change a person's financial life. Personally, I was struck by the the emphasis on having dreams whether they be big or small. It was hard for me to think about putting a small amt aside each month to save for my dream account as I am a late starter to saving for retirement and have children in or starting college. But I was inspired to put aside a small amt each month (even $5/month is better than nothing) so that I can do some of the things I'd like to do for enjoyment. We have to be able to enjoy our lives now as well as thinking about our financial future. I think that is where David's teaching are so different from other financial books I have read. We don't have to deprive ourselves now. We just have to find small areas where we can save some money and then invest that money wisely. I highly recommend the book.

Great Story for Teenagers Just Acquiring Their Money Habits
The Latte Factor is a simple way to get across three money habits by using a story to drive these points home. Most adults would probably prefer bullet points - tell me the advice straight out. But for a young person who probably gets tired of rote memorization from school, this easy to read tale by David Bach might get its points across without the youngster realizing it! I am asking several 15-your-olds to read this book in the hopes that they start some good money habits prior to earning a living. They will thank themselves in a few decades! And when they are older, and ready for a more adult book on money specifics, David has other books ready for them to read! But at this age, just even getting them thinking about how to handle money is a positive.

This is a MUST READ
I loved The Latte Factor. It is an incredible mix of sound financial and life advice. It builds metaphors that provoked one to examine their approach to life and their path to financial independence. This is a vital book for our times. Most Americas are off-track, and the status quo is absolutely frightening. This book is an easy read, loaded with pragmatic actionable advice, and written in a way that will expand its reach to millions of Americas who would never read a personal finance book. I bought one for each of my teenage sons. I want it to provoke thought and dialog to get them off to a strong start both in life and personal finance. This is a must-give from my generation (the Baby Boomer’s) to those we love. Bravo David Bach!

This Book is Life Changing
The Latte Factor is a parable about a young women named Zoey Daniels who is struggling to meet her life goals while living paycheck to paycheck. As she seeks to make some changes in her life, she meets people who share three life lessons. The lessons are simple but profound. Zoey is changed during her journey of discovery. I was blown away by the simplicity of the book and the strength of the message. This book is geared to young people, and I have already ordered fifteen additional copies to share with millennials who should enjoy the story and can benefit from it. But I, a women in my 60’s, was so impacted by the book that I have decided to pursue a passion that I never thought I would be able to do. I highly and enthusiastically recommend this book.
