I absolutely love smith safety Gear
I absolutely love smith safety Gear! I am in Roller derby and have been saved many times by these wrist gaurds. I have fairly small wrists and ordered the medium size. They fit very comfortably and I have plenty of room. I could have ordered the small and they would have fit nicely as well. They are extreamly sturdy and amazingly comfortable. I love the neon prints. I recommend smith safety gear to all my fellow derby girls!

Great protection. Size-wise
Great protection. Size-wise, I have decently large hands for a woman (size 6.5 for surgical gloves if that means anything to you). I ordered a medium, which I am happy with, but they are just a little looser than I would have expected.

Gets the job done
A bit uncomfortable but I like the wider splint. Once strapped in, it doesn't move around. It gets the job done.I've used this about 10 or so times now. Inner splint is ripping through fabric and starting to stick out. I take some bad spills though. Not very durable compared to others I've tried.

Great comfort and support
I purchased medium sized wrist guards as a beginner roller skater. They were immediately comfortable. However the wrist straps were too long. I'll be returning them for size SMALL. I am small-boned, 5'3", 136 lbs.

5 stars for protection - 1 star for durability
These are good wrist guards, they work really well protecting my wrists at derby practice (and as anyone who plays derby knows "If you're not falling you're not trying"). However, they just don't last. I'm now on my third pair in less than a year and the stitching on the velcro up the back is already coming apart on this pair as well. It's been the same issue with all of the ones I've received. So if you're only going to be using them occasionally they're great. But if you wear them a lot (we have practice at least 3 times a week) the seams are going to fail fairly quickly.

Does Their Job, Quick Wear&Tear
Although I love them, and they are excellent (5 stars) when it comes to the job they're supposed to be doing, protecting. They just didn't hold up for me for too long (using them 2x/wk). The velcro that holds the top plastic piece in is coming apart at the seams on 1 about 87% of the way from being completely unattached from the sides... One's plastic is ripping through the outside, and the other is starting to. ANND... The thin inside material is wearing away about the size of a quarter or more at the same spot on both. After having them for 6 months I am now attempting to sew them and maybe use some tape to help hold them together. Another girl on my team also has the same issue with them. You actually may be able to help prevent the wear/tear in them by velcroing them together backwards at the end of each use, if I get another pair, I will be doing this. So I do think I will get another pair once these have completely died.

Comfortable and cute all in one.
These are functional and cool everything a preteen roller derby player looks for in gear. We liked them so much we bought another pair.
