Moonrays L-872 24 LED BBQ and Task Light

This light is so functional, I use it for many other things other than just BBQ. Because of the magnet, you can use it to work under the hood of a vehicle. I use the clamp on the arm of my camp chair to read a magazine. The LEDs are so bright, everything is illuminated tremendously well. Perfect for all needs and the runs efficiently since I've not had to change the batteries and I believe I've used it for more than 5 hours to date. My family has realized it's functionality & I routinely have to hunt it down to use. The long flex cable is a perfect length & is sturdy to keep it's location without constant readjustments.

This is exactly what I needed. I had a wallyworld special that I had been using for s couple of years, but it was starting to flicker when I bumped the table. This light is bright, over a wide area, and is ideal as a tying light. I wanted something I didn't have to plug in every time I wanted to tie a few flies. My only reservation is that the batteries don't last as long as they did in my previous, much smaller light. Do not misunderstand me, I think that the battery life is fine. This is a much bigger and brighter light than my other one. I just wish they lasted longer. (Don't we all?) For it's intended purpose, as a Barbeque light, battery life would be excellent. I am just using it for 4 hours at a time.

3/3/11 Update: He has successfully used this light to grill in the evening and likes the quality. He says it puts out a bluish-white light that makes it easy to tell if the meat is just the right color. He is happy with this. Still no rain. I bought this light for my boyfriend. We both really like it. The light emitted is bright and of a blue tone. The flexible neck allows you to put the light where you want it focused, or bring it out for a wider spread. The clamp is adjustable for fit on most edges. Haven't used it in the rain yet, it doesn't rain much in AZ. I am glad I got this for him, he has tried various McGyver-type scenarios to light up his grill without long-term success. I believe, and hope, this light will last a great while.

Works great when you don't have a place to plug in a light. nice and bright and very versatile with the clamp and magnetic mounts.

This light worked well until it rained. Now it does not work at all, despite it being an outdoor light.

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He's always complained about how hard it is to cook in the winter when it gets dark early. This is a perfect solution for him. We have a Weber grill and he sticks it on the right side where the burner controls are. This is metal and the magnet works great. He likes the flexible neck and it puts out a bright light that is wide enough to be able to see the food on the grill.

update - June 9, 2013. Light fell apart in a mass of rust.. guess it is a two year throwaway.. Too much money for lack of longevity The light output is good in comparison to other led lights, but I think the technology has a ways to go. The output is very localized and the over white light is not pleasing. The is a general fault of all led lights. However, they go for ever with a long battery life. The quality of this light, while it functions perfectly, is a little off. The faux chrome on plasic is very cheap looking and expect it will not last long to the elements. We will see. I bend the light head under the grill to protect it from the rain. Even with some of these comments, I have found the light useful in night cooking, and could not now live without it. Probably one of the better lights available, unless you have hundreds to drop on one made with stainless steel. Update February 26, 2012: See comments below... found that light has done betteer than expected.

I purchased this light to use for grillin/BBQ and my wood fired oven. Its very handy. HOWEVER for 24 LED bulbs? its not as strong. The bulbs its self are the cheap kind, i would expect more output out of 24 LED bulbs. Just a tip. Better quality batteries will produce more output so put nice fresh batteries in there. Something strange i noticed, this light wont work with Duracell Coppertop batteries, i have no idea why.

This light works well. It would not fit on the BBQ, so we attached it above to the overhang above it. It is bright enough and flexible enough to light the cooking whole.

Works well so far. Using it for extra lighting. Enough light for what we have used it for, mainly over the kitchen sink.

Did not like. Eventually threw away. But the seller was fine, the transaction was good.
