Despite the listing saying 100% silk, the tag says 100% polyester.

The scarf is not made of silk. The material is synthetic.

This is NOT silk, not even 1% silk. It is polyester. Did NOT pass the burn test. Silk will turn to ash. Polyester will melt to a hard plastic ball.

This is not real silk, but polyester. When you burn a thread of real silk, it smells like burning hair and it turns into ash. Silk thread does NOT melt when you hold it up to a lighter, whereas polyester does. The thread test I did (from the fabric itself because it arrived with a snag..) proves this is a fake product. Note the ball of hard, melted plastic at the end.Furthermore, after washing and drying the scarf (tumble dry, no heat) and leaving it in the dryer overnight, this scarf has no wrinkles except for the original folds. See photo. This is typical of polyester, whereas if it were silk, the original folds would be gone and it would be wrinkled after sitting in the dryer.

As soon I saw it inside the semi sheer package I knew it was pure silk. The orange scarf is a lovely bold color. The size is generous to use it as a pashmina or for whatever you want. Do yourself a favor and buy this luxury piece that will last for a decade if you take good care of it. So worth it!

I love this scarf. Very silky. It's really thin but there's enough that when you wear it it'll keep your neck warm. I've gotten loads of compliments on this. Wish it came it more gem tones like this. Ombre is a nice look for scarves.

I've had many, many scarves. Along with a giant stack of umbrellas, hopefully they're waiting for me in the afterlife! This is one I very much do not want to lose. The silk is gorgeous (is thin so be careful) but it's obviously well-designed from the size to the design. The colors are much prettier than they come across online - bright and bold. So affordable too. Well done!

The tag says 100% polyester. Ripped off again.
