Bernat Baby Big Ball Sport Yarn, 12.3 oz, Gauge 3 Light, 100% Acrylic, Baby Taupe

This beautiful pastel pink yarn is the perfect softness and color for my next crocheted baby dress or sweater. The smoothness of the yarn make it so easy to yarn over and knit. I’ll buy this again!

This is enough yarn to make a lacey layette set or a baby blanket. I am making a shawl with it. I noticed reviewers complaining about how thin the yarn is. It is size 3, aka DK, aka sport weight. It is supposed to be thinner than worsted-weight yarn. It is for light garments or blankets. I think lace patterns look better in it. If it isn't soft enough for you, wash the item before using it. It will be just as soft as things made with "soft" yarns, only it will wear better and last longer, in my opinion.

My first time using this year and will definitely buy again it was so easy to work with them very soft.

I adore working with this yarn. A small hook usually ends up splitting yarn of this gauge, but not this one. It works up quickly and easily-- and I use this color for "flesh" for the many dolls I crochet.

Love this yarn. Gorgeous pink peach color. Super soft. Great for baby blankets, clothes, hats, booties,mittens. Machine washes very nice. A little difficult to work with since so lightweight, just need to work slower

Great product. I have used Bernat yarn for many years but had never tried the big balls. I just completed a baby blanket in the peach color and the end result is beautiful. The balls are huge so I was concerned I might find a lot of knots where the yarn was attached and never found a single one. The best part is I only had two strands to weave in when the project was finished. Machine wash and dry an added plus. I rated the yarn a 4 for softness because it’s not as soft as some yarns I’ve used but works up nicely, doesn’t split and holds its shape well. Loved working with this yarn and would definitely recommend trying it.

Perfect DK weight yarn. True to description which I love best. I never find DK weight in stores that aren't baby pastel, shiny colors.
