Not 3000mAh but still a good deal
My charger shows these batteries will take about 2200mAh not the 3000mAh advertised. That being said, I think these are a great deal at under $4 each shipped. I would recommend them.

Strong Battery system, seems safe.
seems like a safer rechargeable battery kit.it really does turn off when it's done charging. like off. not just dissipating the heat.it shuts off. so. despite being plugged in.i like the little meters telling me how close it is to being full.i use the 18650s mainly with my $13 anker flashlight.i can compare the 18650 to 3, triple A amazonbasics brand batteries.those are your 2 options. One, 18650. or a pack of 3, (same brand and charge) Triple A batteries in a holster. (with that flashlight)anyways, i have to use the flashlight on the "low" setting with the 18650 or it overheats. whereas with the 3 triple As, i would use it on high to get more punch out.so there's a major difference.I watch the battery as i charge it. Took like 45 minutes. Maybe 20 minutes idk. Not that long to charge them from 1 bar to 3. out of the pack.the scariest thing about batteries is they may catch on fire or blow up. so i would not skimp on batteries ever. especially chinese brands, where their legal liability is probably much lower to americans. harder to chase them. or find them. or hold them accountable.(BTW, these batteries i believe are marketed as "protected" 18650s. big difference. cheaper ones may not have over charge or over discharge protection, which means they would catch on fire or blow up if either one of those extremes occured and you were not aware (as i understand it)). so, the protected ones have an auto off feature if they are getting low. this battery charger shuts OFF when it's done. it does heat up a little as i charged it. I unplugged it and took the batteries out halfway through. just to be what i thought was safer. EBL seems to be a bigger brand on amazon and they seem to have high standards so. $20 was kind of a good deal for this pack imo.

These batteries work great in my flashlights and hold there charge well
This thing works exceptionally well for an inexpensive charger. It charges the batteries much faster than other chargers I've used. These batteries work great in my flashlights and hold there charge well. They are so much better than the AAA batteries that I've used in the past. Also, you won't find a more customer oriented supplier to deal with. I had a small issue with the plastic battery boxes being broken in transit and contacted them. They replied within a couple of hours instead of the two to three days as advertised. They treated it as though it was a major problem and everything was taken care of within a few hours.

Nowhere near the advertised capacity - disappointing...
Pros:- They look nice- The charger works as advertisedCons:- The cells are nowhere near the advertised 3000 mAh and actually come in at about half that or slightly lower, very disappointingOne star because the charger at least works.UPDATE - 4/18/18:Customer Service quickly reached out to me to make this good and sent me another charger and 4 batteries.I tested the 4 batteries and got a consistent 8hr runs with a 300mAh load (~2400mAh) out of all 4. This was MUCH better than the 5hrs I was getting out of the first set of batteries. My only question is why such the difference?I am upgrading this to 3 stars based on great customer service but the battery is still not putting out 3000mAh as advertised.I still wonder why there was such a difference in the 2 sets of batteries?

Closer to 2500mah.
Upon receiving these batteries I tested them. One tested at 2353mah the other tested at 2437mah. I'm sure my test was not completely accurate but other batteries I have tested with my charger have came much closer to their rated capacities. I'm pretty sure my charger/tester is not 500 mah out of wack. With that said these were much better then some Li-ion batteries I have purchased in the past.

Both charger and batteries failed to meet advertised spec
This package (EBL 18650 Lithium Rechargeable Batteries with Charger) contains the EBL 992 'Intellicharger' and two EBL '3000mAh' Lithium-ion batteries. Both batteries arrived with ~3.75V terminal voltage, meaning they are ~50% charged. I fully recharged them before testing.[Battery Charger]Each charging channel has a 3-segment battery status indicator. This is a good feature as it tells you whether your cells are getting close to being fully charged. Finished batteries show about 4.12V, which is reasonable. However, there are several problems:- The charger makes a rapid chirping sound when plugged in, even while not charging. This is annoying in a quiet room.- The spring-loaded negative contact gets stuck easily. I cannot simply push it down with the battery. Instead I have to use my finger to push it down from the base of contact, then insert the battery. This makes it tricky to insert 18650 cell, since there is little room to insert the battery while pushing down the negative contact with my finger.- Back of the charger claims the current is "500mA +/-50mA" for both 4.2V Li-ion cell and 1.2V NiMH cell. But in actual testing I measured just around 370mA charging either Li-ion or NiMH cell. Maybe this is intentionally done, to hide the fact that the EBL batteries have lower capacities than advertised.[Capacity Matters]To measure the capacity of each EBL Li-ion battery, I connected a 5-ohm power resistor as load, and monitored the output voltage and current over time. See the dicharge curves (Current vs Time) on the chart I uploaded. Observe that both cells delivered just around 2000mAh, before their output voltages dropped below 3.0V. This is a very low capacity for 18650 Li-ion cells.Just for reference, another junk brand (LiCB 6800mAh 18650 Li-ion) I tested previously gave 2350mAh.[Weight Matters]According to my electronic kitchen scale, those EBL '3000mAh' batteries (actually 2000mAh) are 44.5g each. For comparison:- Old Samsung 2800mAh removed from laptop battery pack: 46.5g- LiCB '6800mAh' (actually 2350mAh): 45g- Probe Shiny '3200mAh' (actual ~1150mAh): 36g,[Bottom Line]This EBL package is very inexpensive, but both charger and batteries failed to meet their advertised spec:- Charging current measured just 370mA instead of 500mA- Battery capacity measured just 2000mAh instead of 3000mAhI am sending this package back for a refund. Hopefully if enough people do the same, Amazon will finally take action against those junk products sold under false advertisements.

Not the best performers, but well priced for 18650's.
This EBL kit is a great deal if you just need some 18650's and a charger to get by. My experience with EBL batteries has been pretty lacking, but unless you're ready to spend 3-5...

Excellent to have charged during hurricane season
They work as listed and will fit many products. Excellent to have charged during hurricane season. Had to laugh at the package as it was large enough for a basketball.

Button-top, long-lasting charge.
These are fantastic upgrades for radios that take the 18650-size battery; once charged, these can last for days of continuous radio listening.
