Good for a Range
If you read the directions this pulse ox is easy to use. Just like with other pulse ox’s it is accurate within ±2. Meaning, for example, if the number 96 a +2 SD could be 97 or 98 and a -2 SD could be 95 or 94. This is why the device should be used for a general range of SpO2. It should be used in conjunction with other info like symptoms and not as an exact number to make decisions off of. I would not use on neonates. Works good on my 6mo. The baby should be still (I put it on when she is feeding) and I recommend using the big toe. I steady the foot at the ankle. The device is meant to be in contact with bare skin, so no socks. It takes around 20s to pick up a good read and you should leave it on until the number is done climbing and holds a steady number for a few moments. If the wave form on the screen does not have a consistent pattern the number is not accurate (baby could be cold, moving too much, or device is not on right). If you cannot get a consistent pattern for the waveform try a different site; other toe or if your baby can remain still you can try different fingers. If you are using for children with a chronic condition, this pulse ox is not appropriate and you should use a medical grade pulse ox device that will be more expensive but more reliable and will resist the wear and tear of frequent use.

Doesn’t Last
After Very limited use doesn’t work. Purchased 15 months ago.

Not bad
It’s a little slow to pick up, which makes it challenging when trying to get vitals on a squirmy baby, but overall this has been so great to have in the clinic. We don’t have a pediatric pulse ox in office so I bought this one. It works well, just needs a minute.

Perfect for our needs
I ordered this for my daughter, she has very very tiny fingers for her age and even has trouble with readings at doctors office. This was perfect for her, it also works on my pinky finger for myself and my husband. If you have exceptionally small fingers and have trouble with the regular size pulse ox Buy THIS!

Awesome unit, but doesn't last
So, I should preface this by saying that I have actually purchased this three times. I'm a pediatric home health nurse and try to carry a pulse oximeter whenever I'm at work. However, many of my patients have fingers that are too small for the standard or even child size oximeters. One family I visited had just stumbled upon this unit and said it was the only one they had found that would fit their son's tiny fingers. I was impressed and ordered my first one off Amazon, then found another new in packaging at a flea market, so bought that as a backup. I will say, I had a challenge with the price on this. The child and adult ones are in the $15-20 range and tend to last about a year with daily use, so paying twice that amount had me second guessing myself. But I have dealt with enough malfunctioning of the medical grade continuous units in the patients homes, I felt it necessary to always carry a backup for emergency checks.Anyway, the first unit I bought from Amazon worked well the first two times I used it. And then it was set on my desk at home and disappeared. So I used the back up I had bought for $20 at the flea market. It also worked well after charging. But within a few weeks, it wouldn't power on. I tried charging it at the patient's home, and then overnight at my house, and it still wouldn't power on. I chalked it up to it being a flea market purchase that perhaps wasn't as new as it had appeared, even though all the packaging and the unit had been immaculate. A few months later, I found my original unit, which of course had died by then. I charged it up and went to power it on... No luck. I was frustrated, but blamed the length of disuse. So, I bought a third unit, also from Amazon. This one worked like the others, worked for a few reasons over the course of a month, and then nothing. At this point, I have to assume the unit itself is faulty. As much as I like the rechargeable feature, it seems to be a serious design flaw. The unit won't even power up when plugged in.Aside from that conundrum, the unit itself is awesome. I am able to get readings on my smallest patients, and when I tested it against their professional grade equipment from the DME companies, it has read accurate pretty much every time, sometimes varying by 1%. If it would last more than a month or so, this would be my go to unit for my tiny humans.

BUY THIS ONE!
Ordered this Saturday at noon. Today is Sunday. It was delivered at 7PM and my shift started at 10, it came charged at 100% which was nice, I didn’t even know it was rechargeable when I bought it. It’s also very compact and cute in size!! Fits in the palm of your hand. Works at a normal rate of speed which is a few seconds, it is better to use while the child is sleeping because motion will keep it from registering. I absolutely love this. I had no idea they made these this small. It does beep once when you turn it on (press the orange button once) but it isn’t a super loud noise, much quieter than the continuous foot monitor we were using!

Does not pick up accurate on tiny fingers. Have had to use great toe to get reading.

Very happy with this purchase
Very happy with this purchase. Obviously, a Pulse Oximeter is an item you would most likely purchase for a medical reason. The item was quickly shipped and well packaged. It is lightweight and very easy to use. It includes the batteries, the case, and strap. Accurate as compared to the device at my physicians office. Living with COPD can be a challenge. This device is a great little tool to help with respiratory rehabilitation, and daily monitoring. I use it every time I exercise and periodically during the day. It has certainly made a difference in my confidence level. Now I take control of my COPD, It doesn't control me. Well priced item. Would purchase again.
