Great sources of vit A
Extremely beneficial for birds especially when molting. My vet recommended it for my cockatiel after we noticed he was developing cataract.Vit A deficiency is the number one cause of nutritionally induced cataract. I wish I had know about the product sooner. The birds are not real fans of it but I takes some onto my finger and when they try to peck at me they have no choice but to eat some. One of my birds knows when this is about to go down though. I still get him to eat it.It's messy if you add it to the seeds and I feel like the product goes to waste with the seed shells.Another thing you can do is add it to wheat roti or bird bread or apply it to nearly any food. Just make sure to cook it somehow so the smell is undetectable for your birds. Also get some organic and sustainable red palm oil for yourself too. It helps your skin, hair etc...

this oil is working! Bald patches are filling in (has taken 4 months)! Worth it! So happy I tried this product!
I have been mixing this in cockatiel's food for about 4 months now. As the oil is "solid" I put open jar in microwave for 20 seconds, then I can add the desired amount to the seeds and it mixes easily; my 20 year old bird started pulling his feathers out because we moved cross-country (this was the only time we had ever moved, so I guess the change was too much for him); I was skeptical, but it really seems to be helping. His feathers are finally starting to fill in again and he LOVES this oil mixed in his food (he's very picky, so I wasn't sure it would work), but so far, so good. I put his seed in a small 10 oz jar, add a few tablespoons of the heated oil, then shake the jar vigorously. I would not advise putting it in their daily food (too much work and mess); the mixture in the 10 oz jar lasts about a week, then I make a new batch.

So far, my hedgehog loves this!
My hedgehog has very dry skin. I ordered this Sunshine Factor after reading it can help to prevent it. So far, my hedgehog loves it. I mix it in with her food and she gobbles it up! She will also lick it off the spoon. I haven't been giving it to her long enough to see if it is making a difference, but it is very easy to give to her because she enjoys it so much!

My hedgehog was losing quills by the hundred, daily, the vet didn't know what to do, so I turned to sunshine factor as a hail mary, and it worked! Within two weeks his quill loss went down to normal levels and within 6 weeks he started not looking so bald. He's still not where he was before he got sick 8 months later, but I'm certain he would have been bald without this supplement.

Too thick for my bird.
This product was recommended to me by my vet. My bird was Vit D deficient. However, it is very thick and my bird hated it,spit it out and the orange color of the product went all over her face and stayed there for a very long time. Maybe your bird will love it but mine did not. I now have a UV light above the cage and I think it works very well. Sure beats having to fight with my bird's little mouth to get in this thick gel.

Highly recommended for your feathered friends
My African Gray had a brittle break. The Vet said to increase his vitamin A. He recommended this product but I couldn't get him to eat it. Then he suggested putting this product in Harrisons bird bread. I've made the bread and given him a one inch square everyday for six months. Four months ago the Vet declared his beak to be perfect. The picture is a before and after with his beak. I attribute that improvement. Sunshine Factor.

It's ok!
It seems to do the job so why complain about appearance. It's not for me anyway. However, I was surprised to see that it was a paste as opposed to a liquid.
