The Flash: Year One

Struck by lightning, CSI Officer Barry Allen becomes the Flash - the fastest man alive. Right from the beginning though, he triggers a temporal paradox where he meets his future self and goes head to head with the Turtle. A fun origin story, with plenty of heart and a great dynamic. Brighter than the preceding doom laden collection.

A great read! Definitely a must read for any Flash fan.

5 stars for quality but i'm not rating that, this is a rating for the item, the comic, and it sucked. I was expecting an ordinary "gets powers, slowly learns how to use them and fights occasional bad guy which sets up future rogues gallery and figures out his costume along the way" but no, Barry travelled faster than the speed of light on his first serious run and time travelled and created a time paradox on his first day... Turtle is a bad villain, nothing good about him, terrible for a first villain, more of a minor villain that shows up later not right at the start. He gets boots that look *perfectly* like the normal The Flash boots from Waynetech which are for Firefighters... so it was basically handed to him. Romance felt forced between Barry and Iris, they kept trying but they kept pushing each other away then apologising later. All in all 5/10 for this comic, The New 52 was also just as bad if not worse.

Fantastic. A new taken on to the origin story of flash. I just stepped in into DC comics and I didn't think my first pick could be that good. The art the story, this is another level. The packaging was great and I am feeling that I got the hardcover.

Livro importante para saber mais sobre a origem e ano um do Flash! Williamson no seu melhor e acompanhado por excelentes desenhadores.
