KINGART Watercolor Paint, 12ml Tubes, Set of 24

This set includes a great range of colors and they're very vibrant. I put them into a palette and use them from there. They re-wet very well. I made a color chart with some of them and got some really cool color combinations. I love the delicate rose color and all of the blues. Great beginner watercolor tubes for a great price!

Great color selection and great pigment. The colors dilute easily and make great paintings. I would purchase again.

The KINGART set of 24 watercolors in 12 ml tubes offers a full set of colors. The online description lists them as acrylics, but the package states 'professional watercolors', which are not at all the same thing. They are water soluble when dry. Each tube lists the color name but not the pigment composition, which is significantly less than professional grade. Labeling and properties are inconsistent but the way the paint handles, along with the intensity of the color make this set okay for beginners.

I'm just starting out so I have little comparison. My Mother was artistic and used several mediums, from watercolor to calligraphy, decoupage, all sorts of things. While I don't think I have any particular talent, I have some things in my head I'd like to get out and I thought watercolors might be the most forgiving start, since that's most of what I remember from Mom's teaching. This seemed like a good time to start.I love that it's 24 colors, in relatively smaller tubes. I know the basics of color making, but I'm pretty happy to be able to have lots of shades to start with for a more expanded palette. It's good for me to not have to deal with larger tubes that make me feel like I have to use them quickly or waste them.These seem to blend really well and are what I consider as pretty vibrant. Until recently, I hadn't used watercolors sine elementary school! But, I have been curious to try genuine watercolors as I got more and more into adult coloring. And while not every coloring book can be used for water colors (the pages may wrinkle, and it doesn't work if there are images on both sides of a page), for the ones that it works, I am always happy with the results. These water colors are a great starter set of 24 colors. It would make for a nice gift. I think the tube format is easier to blend colors than the cakes that are also available. It just makes it easier - you can use a palette, or anything to blend unique colors. I have liked the king art brand - they have vivid colors and this is a great set to add or begin with for any of your watercolor art projects!

I have 2 other KINGART sets including the Gallery Series Sketching & Drawing Tools, Set of 74, and the Artist Soft Pastels, Wood Box, Set of 72. One of my New Years resolutions is to take some art classes. I am a beginner, the water color set is quite nice with 24 colors. They are vibrant as well. I have a watercolor instructional book to learn and very excited about this paint set. I am very pleased with the price of this set, on sale for $13.99 at the time of this review.

I can use watercolors so much more easily. I love the tubes, love the vibrant colors, even the consistency for mixing colors is really nice. These colors go on smoothly - the blend well, you can apply in varying shades super easily, and the set is easy to store!Another big win for Kingart and another big win for me.
