This book far exceeded my expectations. I purchased the collector's edition of this book to replace my original copy I bought several years ago. It had been falling apart after multiple reads. Instead of getting another paperback copy, I decided to purchase this copy. I'm glad I did. This book is well worth the money. It was shrinked wrapped to a piece of cardboard inside the box it was shipped in. (This may be something that only Amazon does. I ordered directly from them.) The book comes with a very nice dust jacket which has some new artword. The back of the book has an image of the main cast riding camels as they pass along the great pyramids and the famous Sphinx. Nice color! If you take off the dust jacket you have the hardback replica of the original paperback book. This is the first volume of the Yu-gi-oh! series. The first few pages of the book are in color! Which is a nice touch. Another thing I liked is the inside cover has images of the original manga on red paper. It shows a few scenes from the book in complete Japanese text. This is simply an amazing book and if you haven't purchased this volume then I STRONGLY recommend the collector's edition.

This is a great read. It's part of Yu-Gi-Oh before the card game comes into the story. For people who haven't watched season 0 of Yu-Gi-Oh or never knew those stories existed, this is a must read.

Came pretty beat will yellowed pages . Expected better quality for what was stated but for 3$ oh well.

This copy of Yu-Gi-Oh! Volume 1 is noticeably larger than the other volumes, and comes in a hardcover format, with a dust jacket. It also has colour pages from the first chapter (first 4 pages only though) and the very first and last pages of the book are extracts from the original Japanese version, printed onto red paper. Definitely worth the price; it comes in great condition and is hard cover; perfect for any Yu-Gi-Oh! fan. The characters are instantly likeable and the story is really special. It's not a story about a Game Master; it is the story of the power of friendship. Really great and really fun!

I have been a massive fan of Yu-Gi-Oh since i was little. I knew the managa would be different, but I still wanted to read it. This really is a great read and for anyone whobis a die hard like me needs this in their collection! I highly recommend this to anyone who is a die hard ^^ The shipping was really fast too! I was expecting it to take a week and it came in three to four days, which pleased me a lot :)

While the first few chapters are really good and interesting to see how Yu-Gi-Oh began, but, and I don't know if its just the digital version, but the last 2 chapters are either missing pages and don't make my sense, or the author just rushe through them and doesn't complete many of the last 2 shadow games. Things aren't explained or just completely skipped over.

It was good and funny at times, I kinda was turned off by the boy seeing girl's underwear scene it didn't need to be in there

New view for my old nostalgia. Definitely recomend theis series for those who enjoyed watching the show . Love it

This book taught me to read when I was a kid. I always refused to learn but then my mum got me these books and everything changed. Thanks for teaching me.

I used to watch this on TV when I was little. They still have it, but its all changed and such now so its not as good as it once was, but the mangas remain the same and I love them for it. Thi is awesome.

This book shows never-before-seen story-lines. This book comes before the Duelist manga series. Many yu-gi-oh fans would say this is the manga version of Season 0 (Forbbiden season) as season 0 never aired outside of Japan.

Having been a fan of the original tv series I thought I would read the manga and I have to say if you haven't already, please do you won't be disappointed. Definitely will be continuing to read all of them.
