Dream Visions and Other Poems: A Norton Critical Edition (Norton Critical Editions)

I love shopping with Amazon. This was among my required texts for school. It was priced well and arrived about two days before the estimated arrival date. The text is challenging but the supplemental essays and annotations are clear and gives great insight to understanding the work of Chaucer.

If you are looking for more Chaucer besides The Canterbury Tales, this book is for you!

Wonderful resource! To anyone studying medieval literature or Chaucer, it is a must have. (if you are a student studying Chucer's other work it is still a good idea to read this--especially f you are working on a Master's or Doctoral thesis or dissertation!)

Kathyrn Lynch's headnotes are extremely helpful. It's a strong edition and the contextual material--selections of the works that Chaucer borrowed heavily from--, are essential for understanding the dream visions.

It's good reading material for an English major or if you don't mind looking extensively into poems which are secretly stories..

This was in perfect condition and showed up when it was supposed to be. The footnotes and translation are very helpful when reading tricky passages.

Chaucer's original English is presented with comprehensive glosses. His delightful short poems are clearly produced.

This book is really useful. I am in my third year of an English literature degree and this edition is by far the best I have used.
