Pleased with this Razor
I bought this razor because I wanted to try an open comb razor for a little more aggressive shave than my King C. Gillette. I’ve used it twice now and so far I’m impressed. It’s a smooth shave and very comfortable. The handle is long and has a good weigh to it. I use this razor with Feather blades, and the open comb exposes much more blade than I am accustomed to. It cut through a 4 day beard pretty quickly. The razor appears to be well make and I expect to get years of use out of it. I have had a few very minor nicks, but I attribute that to my needing to get accustomed to using the razor. Other than that, I like it.

Great razor. Glad I made this purchase.
I'm new to the whole wet shaving scene and this razor is my second razor purchase. My first purchase was the VDH butterfly razor. It is a great razor to start with and to get an idea of what blades will work for you. After getting my basic technique down, I decided to look for another razor. After extensive research of other peoples reviews and comments on Amazon, Youtube and various blogs, I decided to purchase the Parker 26c. A great choice on my part. I have had the razor for about a month now and I like it more every time I use it. Here are some things I like about it: The handle is heavy but it's a feel of quality not just "dead weight" so to speak. The knurling is very nice and grippy even with soapy hands. The open comb design is not too aggressive at all. I find it to be just right for the way I shave. The fit and finish of the specific razor that I received is very nice. It has no defects in the finish at all. As a whole I am very happy with my purchase. I'm sure I will be buying more razors in the future but for now in my world this razor deserves the 5 stars that I gave it. For the record, I have been using the Astra platinum blades. I have not tried the Sharks that come in this package. The Astra blades have been performing too good for me to change anything up. To sum up my review. I think this is a great razor for anyone especially a relative beginner who is looking to expand their collection.

Great Razor
Overall a really solid razor. I had a problem with my first razor but Howi replaced it immediately and I'm very happy with it. I really like the grip and weight of the head on it. I've used other razors that have had a good grip and were light and I've also used razors that were heavy but had terrible grip. This has a great combination of both. The texture along the handle never loses grip even when soaking wet and the weight of the head assists in making shaving easy. Like any other safety razor the blade you use makes a big difference but the head and grip of the handle is where you have to start. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I have had some burning on my neck after using it. I have been using a safety razor for a year now and this is the first time I have experienced this. It may have something to do with the open comb but I'm not sure yet. It doesn't cause razor bumps but just a little bit of burning. I would definitely recommend this razor to anyone looking for a great razor at a great price.

Excellent razor! Close shave and gentle on the face!
This is an excellent razor. It's very forgiving and yet gives a very close shave. Judging from the many cautions I've read on the many reviews regarding open comb razors, I almost didn't buy one. The way this razor is engineered, it makes it almost impossible for one to cut himself. So all the fears about shredding your face are totally unfounded when it comes to the Parker 26C. I have an EJ ED89bl and a Schmidt R30 Grande and also the R10. I find the Parker 26C to be the least aggressive of the group and yet, it gives a smooth excellent close shave in all directions. I was curious how Parker has achieved this, so I got out my photographer's loupe and took a real close look at the blade clearance on all my razors. The EJ-DE89bl and the two Schmidt, all appear to have about 1mm gap between the blade and the comb. But on the parker 26C the clearance is about 1/2mm, making it virtually impossible for one to cut himself while shaving. It took me about three shaves to get used to the razor, and now I can run my hand in an upward motion on my face and feel absolutely no stubble. I use ASTRA Superior Stainless blades, and I've shaved with both "Proraso", and "Cremo" shaving creams with very similar results. The Parker 26C is so forgiving that I see no reason why a first time DE safety razor user should be afraid to buy one as their first razor. The 4 inch textured non lip handle is excellent even with shaving cream all over my hand. The chroming looks good, and I also like the weight of the razor. I highly recommend it without hesitation. One more thing. I got an email from Howie - Super Safety Razors, wanting to know how I like the razor, and if there were any problems to contact him so he could take care of it. Now that's proactive conscientious service from a supplier!!!

Surgical precision, superglued to your hand when you need it most
It's been over a month since I received the Parker 26C, but due to a series of snafus, including but not limited to an abscess in my jaw, I haven't been able to review it until now. Before I go into the review itself, I must state that what you're looking at is an OPEN COMB safety razor. By their nature, open comb razors are more aggressive than standard razors like the Weishi butterfly. By 'more aggressive', I mean they give a closer shave, but in the hands of a newbie wet shaver, they can and WILL LIKELY cut and leave razor burn. For this reason, most wet shavers, particularly those who have storefronts will recommend a standard razor to newcomers. If you're looking to buy your first safety razor, I suggest you bookmark the Parker 26C and make a note to purchase it as your SECOND razor, once you've learned how to properly use a safety razor in general, and know what your skin and beard need for a good, close, and smooth shave. As an individual with a thick beard and sensitive skin, I've found that pressing a hot, wet towel to my face for a few minutes and applying a tiny amount of olive oil as a preshave works wonders to prevent irritation and nicks. Alright, with that done, onward to the review! The Parker 26C is absolutely beautiful! Highly polished chrome plating on the two piece head, and on the handle end pieces, and a highly textured black handle surface that may or may not be aesthetically pleasing to some(looks great to me!), but makes it virtually impossible to slip through soapy fingers. Although it is indeed more aggressive than my Weishi butterfly razor, the sheer weight and rough, almost sandpaper-like grip in the hand provides absolute control, while the open comb leaves enough lather behind to allow for a couple extra cleanup passes. Dorco blades, which went so well with my Weishi, are prone to 'skipping' and irritation in this razor, but I was still amazed at the closeness of the shave. Even considering the fact that my first use was somewhat hurried due to both an impending appointment and a back that was trying to spasm, I was completely astonished with the level of control made possible by the weight and exceedingly grippy handle texture. The extremely rough finish borders on uncomfortable when first held in wet fingers, but initial sensations were forgotten the instant my back tried to seize in the middle of a pass. What happened next is something I still have trouble believing. The razor stopped cold and pivoted slightly as if it were part of my hand while I shifted position, and I was able to continue the pass as if nothing happened. For the longest time, I thought it would take me years to get that kind of precision out of a safety razor, and the first time I used this one, it was as if I came out of my mama's belly with it attached to my hand. It's not just experience that saved me from a severe cut yesterday, it was the hardware. Don't get caught up in price or aesthetics, and for the love of God, don't look at the textured handle and think 'that looks uncomfortable'. Parker spent years researching handle finishes and textures looking for the perfect combination that would allow the shaver to stop the blade on a whisker and maneuver the head with surgical precision right out of the gate. Sadly, my Parker 26C is so well made I don't know if I'll ever have to make another purchase from Super Safety Razors, but I keep browsing their store in case I'm wrong. Their razors are excellent(as if I need to repeat myself), and their customer support is equally so. If you're new to wet shaving, they'll gladly answer your emailed questions in around two hours and get you started with the best razor for your needs, regardless of your level of experience with wet shaving. I could go on and on about this razor, and Super Safety Razors in general, but common sense should compel most people to throw one of these lovely Parkers into their cart for immediate purchase. My work here is done.

The Best Safety Razor I Have Ever Used (And I Have Used A Lot)
I've been wet shaving the old school way for just about 10 years now. I took about a 2 year long break starting in 2011 because I wasn't satisfied with the shaves I was getting from various new and vintage safety razors, various blades and various soaps and creams. The consistency just wasn't there. My skin is prone to ingrown hairs on my neck area and on the areas of my chin directly below the corners of my mouth and I couldn't get nice shaves without experiencing the ingrown hairs, so I quit. My passion and love for wet shaving recently returned thanks to a coworker and I got back into it a few months ago. I had never tried out an open comb razor before. The Parker 26c came highly recommended and the price was very attractive so I purchased it. After two uses, I can safely say that it is the most effective razor I have ever used. The first few strokes weren't great but as soon as I found that sweet spot for blade angle (which now I can safely say I had never gotten with any other safety razor I've used) I was able to hack through 3 days of beard growth with minimal effort and in the following days I experienced little to no ingrown hairs. Super Safety Razors is a great Amazon vendor and their price for the Parker 26c along with my Amazon Prime membership made this purchase a no-brainer. Pair it up with your favorite blade and watch the magic unfold before your eyes. I will highly recommend this razor with confidence to any wet shaving noob.

Perfect all around open comb razor, absolutely perfect.
I can be an infrequent shaver, letting my facial hair get a little long. When that happens, I usually mow everything down with an electric trimmer before I shave with my Merkur 34c, a razor I love. I started reading about open-comb razors, so I decided to try three: Merkur 15c, Muhle R41 Grande, and the Parker 26c. The Merkur seemed flimsy and cheap, too light, too skinny, nothing like the 34c I’ve been using for years. I’m a brand loyalist and assumed this would be the one I would keep. But it’s nothing like the 34c at all. The Muhle was phenomenally made, heavy, substantial, beautiful, incredible; however, the aggressiveness of that razor wasn’t a great fit for my skin. Then I got the Parker 26c with the black anodized handle. Phenomenally made, heavy, substantial, beautiful, incredible as well. It felt better in my hand than the Muhle and possibly even my Merkur 34c. Using the Parker for the first time was great. Less aggressive than the Muhle, and better all around than the Merkur 15c. It could very well become my go-to day-to-day razor. It’s a pristine object. Machined beautifully. Just perfect for what I was looking for.

Nice razor, not aggressive if looking for one that is.
Yes a very nice razor. Well made and finished. Solid feeling. Very smooth feeling shave, but that is due to it not really being very aggressive for being an "open comb". My Parker 82R TTO is definitely more aggressive even though it is supposedly not. You can get a close shave with many passes, but the TTO will shave cleaner on the 1st pass. You can see it. I Like the feel of this and will use it. Makes a good 1st pass razor followed by another razor. Otherwise you are looking at a 3 pass minimum. That's my experience doing A B comparison with Sharps, Chrystals etc. Just one tool of many, but I do not think this would be my main one if I had to get just one. Who does that? It's a guy thing.

Ho acquistato tre rasoi a pettine chiuso.

Excellent Open Comb Razor
This is the best open comb razor in India and also globally. This is very smooth but highly effective to remove the beard. It just glides on the skin if proper lather is made. Elegant design, good craftsmanship and easy to hold even with wet & soapy hand. It is expensive in Indian market but value for money. We, the passionate wet shavers, are happy that lucrative deals are available on different Parker products in different times of the year by Amazon. in. I'm also a happy customer & patron of Amazon.in/com for more than 15 years for their outstanding customer support. Parker product s are loved and respected worldwide. I am proud of such excellent indigenous products. I am sure that serious & passionate wet shavers will love this razor and never regret to invest on it. Happy Shaving 😀👍
