Dansko Women's Devin Slouch Boot

I wanted a pair of casual black boots without any random add-ons (buckles, accessories, laces, zippers) that look good with just about anything I wear whether it is dress, denim jeans, or skirts. I wanted boots where I could slip on when I am in a hurry and not have to worry about any laces to tie or zippers to zip up. I wanted boots that feel snug but not too snug or too loose. Most importantly I wanted a pair that are comfy and doesn't hurt my feet when I am walking for long period of time. I am picky with my boots. Normally I go for UGGs. But they are so expensive and my feet gets too warm and feels like they can't breathe with UGGs.These boots met all of my expectations for a perfect pair of boots. They look amazing with skinny jeans and shorts, very casual, perfect for everyday wear. I am a size 7 and these boots are true to size. I was able to wear a pair of thick socks and my feet felt snug, yet not suffocating. I went out shopping for five hours and the entire time my feet never tire or in pain. I did not get any blisters. It was like walking on a pair of padded slippers. It was much better than walking barefoot.I was really hesitant about purchasing these boots. I have never purchased Dansko shoes before. After reading the reviews, I was sold. The only thing that held me back was the price tag. I will definitely be purchasing more Dansko shoes. I have my eyes on a pair of open-toe platforms.

I can't even begin to tell you what my search for boots entailed. I am going on an extended trip abroad, and will doing an enormous amount of walking. And I already often walk a couple of miles a day. But I wanted a plain black, slouchy mid-calf boot with no adornment and a reasonable amount of support. I still can't believe how hard that was to find.The soles on these weren't my first choice, I was looking for a thickish rubber sole. And these do feel a bit clunky when I've been wearing them for a long time, especially when I'm at home. I'm aware that I have them on, which is not usually the case with my footwear. I tend to forget I have shoes on unless they are hurting me in some way. Having said that, though, these are very much lighter than I was expecting to be from the photo. Even lighter than more streamlined type boots I've had.They are also cuter on than in the photo. I've gotten lots of compliments on them. But what I'm going to be super grateful for is the comfort. When I'm out doing a lot of walking on hard pavement, I actually do forget I'm wearing them. I don't even think about my feet, which is exactly what you hope for in a pair of shoes you buy when planning to do a lot of walking. I'm thrilled with these boots, and I hope they last me a very long time. I think they will, they seem very well made.

These Boots are super comfortable, more comfortable than the Professional Clogs which I have been wearing since the 70's (found them in Europe - wish I was the one who imported them!). I recently suffered a stress fracture in my foot (and also have bunions) and the only shoes I can now wear that don't hurt my feet are Dansko. For those looking for sizing info, I wear a US size 8 regular and the 39 is a perfect fit - and always has been. These boots also have a slight slippage in the heel, per Dansko's usual fit. For the Designers: the only thing I don't care for is that the ruching is 'fixed' in place - I would prefer that it be looser and not so rigid looking. To the one reviewer who said they would like the toes more pointy, they WOULD look more stylish, but they would also be less comfortable so I'll stay with the rounded toe.

I bought these on the high praise of a good friend who wore them two weeks straight tourist ing through Italy and said they were the most comfortable shoes she'd ever worn. I was very impressed with the quality of the leather and style. My feet, however are very wide and I had to return them. I would get them if they offered wide widths and regretted having to send them back.

If you plan to wear these with heavy socks, get them bigger. The only thing that bothered me is how round the toe looks. That sort of dates the boots. I also thought they were over priced. Sending them back.On the positive side, they were great quality and soft scrunchy part. They come up about 6 inches on my leg. That's good if you have heavy calves and have a hard time fitting the higher boots. I think they would be great for super cold weather but not necessary in our warm Nevada climate.

Beautiful boot from Dansko. I was disappointed with how short they were. I was expecting them to be a little taller. But not a big deal. They are very comfortable, although there isn't any ankle support. I like the way they look. And have held up great so far.

I love love Dansko shoes. Have the professional clogs, so of their heeled ankle boots and a couple of pairs of sandals. Unfortunately I have to send these back. The front of the shoe fits fine, arch support is good but the heel runs wide. If you have a double A heel these may not work for you. They rub up and down and not in the way the regular Dansko shoes are supposed to. Sad because I really liked them.

I love these boots and was able to immediately wear them all day. I am not sure how great the arch support is because I wear custom made orthotics.. Before I purchased them I read the reviews and noticed many people shared that they were too big in the heel. I would have to agree that the fit in the heel is a little loose but I would totally buy them again. No reservations.
