This is a great reference book! I have a few tarot books but this is my go to.

i'm an intermediate reader, trying to get back into tarot, and i was looking for a thorough reference book for card meanings to keep on hand. i did some research on several books, and i am so glad i chose this one! this book would be excellent for beginners as well as more advanced readers. each card is explained as a person and situation, and the keywords are also helpful. this is exactly what i needed, and i know i will use it for years to come.

This has quickly become my most used reference book for tarot. I love how the card images are big and it’s easy to flip through. It comes with a large poster of all the major arcana that’s really nice. I also like how each card is broken up in 5 write ups: general, the card as a situation, the card as a person, questions for reflection and keywords. The writing is straight forward and really easy to understand.

Love this book still need to tap into it but I love this author and the collection! Looking for two of the collection! Would recommend getting the whole book collection it's fun reading and very informational!

I have many tarot books and this one is my favorite by far. Each card gets a picture and about two pages of interpretation, including questions to ask about the card (which are very illuminating). There is also quite a bit about tarot reading in general. This is a great book for beginners or seasoned readers alike. I have nothing negative to say about this book.

I am impressed with this book and this practitioner. Bright is a clear writer who takes a down-to-earth approach to the tarot. If you want an approachable book that maps high-minded concepts onto concrete examples, this is the one. One can learn something new at any stage of the craft, especially (in my opinion) beginner and intermediate tarotists. The book is good for professionals and those who want to read for personal use.

Wonderful addition to my Tarot library. Brief, concise descriptions of the cards with depiction as a person and situation. Also questions for applying the card's message to one's self and make the card personal. The poster is made with sturdy paper that should be framed if used, but can be taped or tacked to the wall.

I really love how the author breaks it all down into easy to understand bits. You can tell the author is well-versed and experienced with Tarot. They also seem down to earth and relatable.

I love the way Steven explain meaning of every card . He explain meaning in different way good different and I lover it . It was my first tarot book and iam happy that I find this book . Good for beginner

Carino il poster intuitivo per la carta del giorno.

It was a cold winter afternoon when I decided to cosy down in front of the fire and take a look at my latest Tarot acquisition and I ended up sitting there for a lot longer than I’d planned! Having first started on my own Tarot journey over 50 years ago (albeit very quietly for a lot of those years) you might assume I’d have all the information I need or want to know by now. Far from it, I always look at new decks and books with great interest as you can never stop learning and growing. However it’s been a long long time since a book has grabbed me like this one did, hence a review .. I never normally write them. I notice that many reviews praise it as a great book for the beginner .. which it definitely is - but there is plenty in there for the more experienced reader as well. I especially like the way Steven doesn’t just give the usual general overview and meaning for each card, but includes thinking of them as situations and people - and then to think about how each one manifests itself in our own lives. Thus helping us personally relate to, understand and remember the qualities of each card. It’s very well and thoughtfully written. It’s a very tactile book which I like, I’ve had it next to me on the sofa as I pick it up to dip in and out of frequently and I find myself stroking the cover, it feels so nice. As a bonus it comes with a lovely glossy Major Arcana chart (see photo), great for a lazy card of the day as you can glance at it and see which one you feel drawn to that day. I highly recommend this book for all levels of readers.

Love this basic book on tarot. Great reference especially for beginners.
