Difficult to find Size 1 cricket set in Wood
The smallest introductory cricket sets, size 1, are usually in plastic and are toy-like. They are difficult to find in wood. This set is made from wood and suitable for five to eight year olds as an introduction to the game. The bat is a bit big for the average four year old. The fact it is made by Gunn and Moore perhaps gives it authenticity. Ball is soft and unlikely be dangerous to young players and wickets and bails of good size. At first appraisal - 5*

The bat is perfect for a youngster, the set sets them on course to enjoy cricket.

A bit pricey but is good quality
A little pricey but good quality sturdy set. Came with a handy fitted cotton bag for easy transport or to store cricket set. Bought for grandson who's 9yrs so should last him for quite a number of yrs.Liked how company had different sizing for different age groups.

Nice bat for children
We got this bat to enjoy the summer last year during lockdown.It was well sized for my 9 and 11 year old.We've only used it with tennis balls as anything harder will destroy the bat.It has held up well - happy with the purchase

Moderate quality don’t like it much
Kit looks good but some kids used bat for fixing the bell and that left last big and deep marks on bat which means the wood used is bit flimsy. Bat looks ugly now so decided not to use it further

i deal for messing about in the garden, good quality for the price and ideal size for a junior , a bit small for a teenager

Great set and the fact that it all packs easily in to the bag for easy transport is ace.Love it!

It works
Really cheap wood and now well finished but i guess you get what you pay for a cheap addition would be a block with holes in for the stumps so they could be set on concrete.
