I began this book upon finishing the After series. They seem so line with each other, except the guys name is Kaden, not Hardin and Allie, not Tessa. Really, I was thinking that maybe the author was inspired by the After series to write this. A huge difference for me is that there isn't a lot or of redundancy in words and phrases which I really appreciated.I felt like this book was a cool down to After. Not in a bad way. The author moved the characters along at a steady pace following their growth over the semester and I think their mind sets, not necessarily experiences are relatable. There wasn't a forced ending or finality to it. We are left to our imagine, how their lives will continue on. I haven't decided if I'll pick up #2 yet. We shall see.

It was a pretty good romance between two roomies. Allie was running away from her privileged family and was starting her freshman year at a college. She was beginning to enjoy her newfound freedom being thousands of miles away from her parents. Allie was an emotional girl who loved to talk and also cried easily. Her roommate was a brooding, Kaden, who was very upfront about his rules regarding living together. To me, Kaden was bipolar. He was nice to Allie one minute and the next day could be really mean to her. I liked that Allie showed emotional growth and though out of her comfort zone, decided not to be dependent on others.

Mona pulls you into the college world of heartbreak and romance and makes you feel like you're part of the ride. Allie and Kaden both have demons they are running from when they run into each other. Their story is beautiful and heartbreaking with a HEA

2.5-3 stars** some spoilers!! **Oh man... where do I start with this review.Ok... after reading this book I just had to give myself some time to really think about this book and how I felt about.I enjoyed this book in the beginning. Over looking a lot of Kaden’s personality. Because I wanted to see if he could win me over. I don’t usually like books with a lead like Kaden. Kaden was a big jerk! I was on the fence with him pretty much through the whole book. I hated everything about him. lolHe would act ok for a day or two. Then he would have these major meltdowns. And he would act so mean and say these really mean things to Allie. It was hard to move past all that.Kaden’s mood swings were pretty much throughout the whole book. It was always his way or no way. It was very frustrating to read. Because most of the time Allie would just end up doing what he wanted.Allie was a weak main character. She cried at the drop of a hat. She constantly forgave Kaden for everything he would do or say to her. It just wasn’t right. She needed to stand up for herself. And not forgive and forget.I pretty much hated how Kaden would just leave for days without contacting Allie. When they both crossed a line with each other. I hated the things he would say too. Telling people that she smells. And not making it clear he hated how she smelled like candy because of her candles. I also hated how he was always demanding her to tell him what was bothering her. He was constantly invading her personal space.Here are some examples of some of the things he did to her.-Almost leaving her on the hiking trail because she wouldn’t tell him who had called her!He got in his car and started to drive!-Leaving her at the bar outside in the parking lot!He did drive away! She had to walk home!-Him kicking her out of his apartment!Yup, after not seeing him for days... she comes home to him in her room packing her stuff and telling her in the coldest way possible to leave. That they never signed a lease agreement so she had to leave!!! And it was night time!I haven’t even gotten to the ugly things he would say to her.Once I was nearing the end of the book. I liked what Kaden was doing. He was trying super hard to redeem himself with Allie. But to be honest here. I think Allie should’ve just been friends with him. It would’ve been more believable. Because who in their right mind would forgive all of what Kaden did to them.Yes, he was there for her. And yes, he helped her come out of her shell. But for me... that wasn’t enough.I loved the friends in this book. I loved Scott and Dawn. I really want to read Dawn and Spencer’s book. (Hopefully there is one coming!!)*So I looked this author up and it seem this is her only English book. There is book 2 & 3 in this series. But both books are in German. So I have no clue whether the other 2 books would be converted to English.*

Such a great love story, Allie & Kaden are awesome. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series

I couldn't put this book down. It had great story line that wasn't too slow to begin nor did the pace of it quicken as I kept reading. My only criticism is that there isn't another book for Allie and Kaden's story. I'm hooked! :)

3.5 stars. Well, The first 80% was great and then it got pretty dramatic at the end. The last 20% made me dislike both main characters for the decisions they made. I'm still going to read the next in the series, because I did like the writing and the other characters.

Read the book in a day, it was great. The characters drew me in and wouldn’t let me go. I definitely recommend this book.

Oh my, I could not put this book down. I loved it. Everg page is filled with excitement that I ould NOT get enough of. It made me crave a relationship... Definitely recommended, one of the best books I have ever read.

Oh god..This main female character got me so angry for being such a god damn door mat!!!!! Really pathetic character!!!! and hope women who read this agree...if a guy packs up your stuff and kicks you out like a piece of trash..ffs don't go back so frikking easily!!!! How dare he..he was a complete jerk the whole way through actually ..worst MC ever. Yuck.
