This machine works well for hot cutting heavy-duty nylon straps. However, for our purpose of hot cutting double-face satin ribbon, it does not perform well. Our ribbon is too delicate for this machine, so we had to return it. On a separate note, the heating element does not maintain a consistent temperature at the cutting head. The fluctuations in heat made it difficult to hot cut large quantity batches consistently.

Had this machine for two months now. Had to upgrade it with a PID temperature controller because the included "Knob" was impossible to calibrate. However, that being said, we run it at 500°, even for double-faced satin ribbon. Another upgrade we did was a "hold-up" arm that keeps the tension roller 'up' so we can get the machine threaded and setup and aligned. The input sensor would probably work fine for thicker materials, but for anything thin, we manually keep it up with a popsicle stick. We cut about 2,000 ribbons in April - 7/8" double-faced satin, with minor issues. They were all very accurate in length. But I am now testing cutting 3" wide double-faced satin ribbon, and the right side of the blade cuts fine, but the left side is not cutting cleanly. I have cleaned the blades, and there are no visible notches. The blade is held in place with screws and springs, but it is possible to over-tighten the screws such that the blade will bind. One commenter said the blade was stuck; this might have been the culprit. It is what it is, a VERY low-cost automated machine with a hot blade cutter. If I did not service my the CNC machine we have and have a full shop that can cut the metal and upgrades I did, I would probably spend a bit more for a machine with the Temperature controller already built in. I am very frustrated at the moment that it won't cut the 3" ribbon. I am waiting for it to cool down to be able to investigate further.

Dont waste your time....China garbage...worked for less that half a day....electronics are horrible...wont recogize when you hit the buttons, machine stops working....warning...you will loose production time and money

Machine wasn’t in working order when it arrived the cutter was locked up and an alarm would sound when plugged up and turned on.

The machine has hot and cold two cutting ways, can solve all the cuttings we need. Works great for my small business, really recommended! Love it so much!!!

We are using this for an industrial factory level cutter. It was originally meant to be a short term fill in as our much higher priced hot cutters were a constant problem. About two months in this thing is great. Accurate, fast, can cut multiple rolls at a time. Controls are little non-intuitive but not too bad. Only real complaint is that the cooling fan blows the smoke from the cut down through the blade, which makes the smoke dissipate before it can be sucked into the vents built in directly over the cutter. Would love to see that issue ironed out but that might only matter if you are cutting large quantities
