Personal Men's Straight Edge Sharp Shaving Razor Stainless Steel 3" Blade Black Handle

Inexpensive razor - works well after professionally honed (sharpened).
I've been shaving with a straight razor for some time and purchased a pair of these to see if they perform as well as expensive brands. It comes with a knife-like sharp edge which would be uncomfortable to shave with unless you have it professionally honed. Honing requires special finishing stones and skill which many new-users may not possess. This service can be purchased for about $20. After honing, I was able to shave comfortably with both of my gold dollar razors. After 10 shaves, my stropping routine left one edge a bit dull and uncomfortable to shave with. The second razor held an edge for 18 shaves before tugging whiskers. This could mean the steel is not as durable as some other more expensive brands which last for months until needing to be touched up on a stone. I recommend prospective buyers either have this razor professionally honed or purchase water stones ranging from 1000/4000 & 8000 grit to hone it themselves. Use of a strop and abrasive paste will prolong the edge before re-honing is required.Recommended combination set by Nortonย Norton Waterstone Starter Kit: 220/1000 grit stone, 4000/8000 grit stone, SiC flattening stone .

Love the razor
Love the razor, got it within the week and its durable, sharp and i have had it for 3 days i think shaved with it 2 times, and it is still as sharp as the day i got it. Although it has 2 down sides the plastic handel is the reason for both problems 1) it is very light and i like a heavy razor its a personal preferance im sure someone likes a light razor2) the blade does not line up with the handle making it hard to close and it snags every time

Solid blade, cheap handle
The handle on the razor feels plasticy and cheap, but the blade is substantial and very sharp. I bought this for a costume, but tried my hand at shaving with it and the razor performed admirably. My only qualm is I wish there was a locking mechanism, because I was carrying it in my pocket and I reached in to pull it out, but it had opened and I very nearly cut myself.

Didn't expect the best
I read the reviews before I ordered this and I thought that the blade would be sharp when I got it. The blade was not sharp enough to shave with even after stepping it. I gave it two stars because of the price for the blade. You don't find many blades for $10. I'm sure if I sharpened it, the blade would be a good shave.

Decent NOT SHAVE READY
I received it very quick but it did not come shave ready and the scales were lopsided, its alright but i wouldn't necessarily waste your money one it.

Good for beginners...
Just understand you get what you pay for, it is a $10 straight razor. It comes with an edge on it but I recommend honing and stropping it before shaving. This would be a good straight razor to practice with getting into traditional wet shaving. But just think, if you get or have a wetstone, hone this blade it will save you money in the long run. But if you are new at straight razor shaving and are just looking to learn to shave, get a shavette as well. They have disposable blades.

sharp and I'm sure u could shave with it, that being said the razor is cheaply made, I guess that's why it's cheap!!!
