Very Good Scope
Because I can't actually touch or feel products I buy on Amazon, product that are important to me I will buy several brands and return the lesser ones. Of the three scopes I tried, this one is a keeper. It was easy to sight in, easy to mount on my air rifle, exceptional optics for the price and compared to the other two. I haven't tried the illuminated reticle, and doubt I will as I see no need to with the optics it already has. I love the quick attachment mount, it is very stable, however, the adjustment screws for the levers could be a little longer as they were near the end of the thread travel on my picatinny. I love the zero locking, I have a pcp air rifle, for hunting I use a high setting of 2900psi, but for target shooting, I use the lowest setting of 1100psi. (as I only have a hand pump to charge the gun). I zero set the scope at 2900, and recorded the elevation adjustment for 1100psi, very handy for air rifles. All shots fall inside of a quarter at 170'. Good enough for hunting backyard varmints. Finally, it does have an adjustable objective, I left it on infinity setting as I am using it on an air rifle, so can't really comment on long range settings. Other nice features, a sun shade extension and flip covers. Really nice buy.

This is a great scope for the money
This is a great scope for the money, even at a higher price.I have this mounted on my DPMS Oracle that has a flat-top, and the only thing that I would have liked better, would have been that it had higher profile mounts, but that's my personal preference, as such, this scope is ready to go right out of the box. Sight picture is clear as day, no issues, fully adjustable.Has nice instructions for how to set use the mil-dots, and it comes with a cheat sheet specifically for this scope.Personally, I like the illumination, even though I'll probably never use it at low light, but it's nice to have just in case.My only gripe with this scope is the eye relief. It stays long eye relief, but that's not really the case. I have to be really close to the scope to get a good picture. With a Magpul MOE adjustable stock, I have to set the stock at the halfway point, with the scope mounted so that the eye ring is one rail notch forward of the charging handle. Other wise you "hit" the scope every time you have to pull the charging handle. That's the main reason for wanting a higher profile mount. To those who say they got a dud, unfortunately maybe you got one of the very few duds, unfortunately it can happen regardless of price level or brand.Don't let one bad experience ruin it for you. Send it back, as I'm sure you know, Amazon will refund or exchanges just about anything, and painlessly. Have them send you another and give it a another try.Since I have used the same scope on both a 223/556 AR and a 300 BLK AR, because it has resettable zero points, it's no issue getting back to zero when switching between rifles. The only reason I have not bought a second one of these as a dedicated scope for the 300 BLK is because I'm planning on getting another UTG scope with a higher zoom level for the 223/556 AR and will use this 3x9 on the 300BLK. Just have to decide on which one I want. But I’m sure whichever one I get it will be just as good. And if I get a dud, I know both Amazon and UTG will take care of it.For the record, I've only had this scope for about 2 moths now, but I've used it every Sunday since then; easily shooting 60 to 80 rounds of both 223 & 300BLk each, that's about 120 to 140 rounds an outing, and still holds true. Even with switching between riffles and mucking with the zero adjustments. At 100 yards, set to 9x max, or set to 3x min, I hit the gong repeatedly and consistently in just about the same 2 to 4 inch group.Again, I've had good luck with it so far. If I were you, I’d give another shot, no pun intended.

pretty much anything
OK, so I am the original skeptic when it comes to glowing reviews of, well, pretty much anything! I bought the UTG BugBuster scope for a cheap .22 build and really didn't expect much, I mean really, how good can a $70 rifle scope be?First, The Good:Right out of the box the scope felt solid, the included rings and sun shade fit perfectly, the flip-up lens covers worked well (though you have to do without the front flip-up if you run the sun shade), the fit & finish was very good, and the QD rings do a great job of returning to center when you remove and re-install them (I've used them on other builds). There were two batteries included for the lit reticle (one spare) and the red and green lights worked very well ramping up and down as designed. I started off by centering the scope using a mirror and a strong light (if you don't know how watch the YouTube video by Leapers UTG) which took a couple of minutes then mounted and leveled the scope on my rifle. I took the rifle to my range expecting to need an extended sighting in period, fired 3 rounds offhand at 10 meters then an additional 7 rounds from a rest at 25 meters, all were in the black with the 7 from the bench rest making one hole ... all with no adjustment to the scope (see the attached photo). So how good can a $70 scope be? Pretty darn good! Now for The Bad:No, I can't say this scope will compete with my Nikons and Leupolds but then it was less than 1/4 their cost. First off, when I centered the scope I noticed the crosshairs were slightly rotated (about 1 degree). By running the cross hairs up & down and left & right while watching in the mirror, I determined that while they were rotated slightly they tracked true with the adjustment knobs. When I mounted the scope, I leveled the cross hairs not the adjustment knobs which resulted in a slight cant to the scope. While sighting the rifle in I found that the Adjustable Objective scale was off slightly but then I normally make that adjustment while looking through the scope so it didn't bother me. The peripheral aberration (that blurring around the edges) is fairly pronounced at close ranges but for what this scope is intended for it is acceptable. While the adjustment knobs are tight with the "lock rings" turned in, they are a bit sloppy when in "adustment" mode but again, not a deal breaker.Overall Impression:For the money, this is an excellent scope. I would recommend it for a casual plinker or close in (less than 75 yards) small game rimfire rifle but I'm not sure how it would handle the recoil of a centerfire. Buy one, set it up properly, get some ammunition, and get out on the range!
