As far as I know, it does not. I bought this for my son and daughter-in-law, and it has only been used to print from the computer.This being said, if you need copies, these days one can jerry-rig a copy from a computer and one of today's larger pixel count cell phones. If you need a document to be "copied," lay it down on a well-lit surface, and take a picture of it with your phone, with the edges of the paper as close to the edges of the image edging in the phone as you can. Take the picture, and then send it to your email, with the option for highest resolution. Download it, open it up in paint, and crop it as perfectly as you can. Save it. Then print it to the computer. I had to do this when the copying capability of a printer died once, and for black and white, good old-fashioned typed documents, it works like a charm.

is this printer small enough to be portable? I will need to print invoices for customers and was wondering how hard it would be to carry in and out each and every day. Thanks!

does it come with ink

Yes it does but I have seen some sellers on ebay that have taken the ink out of the box and then sell the printer at a good price. Of course, I would rather have one that comes with the ink cartridges because ink is expensive to buy.
