Introducing Descartes: A Graphic Guide (Introducing...) Reprint Edition, Kindle Edition

This is one of the best "Introducing series" I have read, and I have read over 30 of them! This covers a good bit of his early wandering years over a goodly portion of Europe to his final days in Sweden with the queen as her philosophy tutor. I will leave it to your reading to find what killed him. There is a bit of irony there.What is special about Descartes? He is considered by most to be the first "modern" philosopher. It has something to do with his methodology, but, as before, a bit of reading will be truly worthwhile to understand this.A large part of his philosophy has to do with the mind vs. senses. Can you trust them? Is one better than the other? Is there a "demonic trickster" hidden away to fool you? Descartes is truly a good read. The author has also provided an exceptional "For Further Reading" section. You will need this selection after reading this introduction. You will no doubt become enthralled with his ideas. I Ann glad that I read it, and I more have a better understanding of Descarte. Not a fun book, but it definitely enhanced my knowledge.

Glad I got this kindle book. I wanted a basic knowledge of Descartes. I could have enjoyed more depth but the information was plenty for a beginner.

I love these books and know they're not all great, but have been reading through the ones with the best ratings and that I have the most interest in. This introduced to Descartes is great.A really decent introduction to the father of a lot of modern philosophy, maths and science.

Basic info on Descartes. Greater as a starter

It came well packaged and was in good without any faults and it was easy to wrap.

After reading this book I was upset. I began questioning everything. Now I hardly sleep at night, or maybe I do, I can't be of anything anymore.

Too much redundancies in content. Little solid matter.
