Bought mine over 2 years ago and not had one squirrel on my feeder. Brilliant. Placed half way down the pole on a feeding station. Durability is excellent. I give it a wash every now and then to removed poo and old food and it washes down really well. Best thing I have bought for keeping away squirrels. 🐿️

This is effective at keeping squirrels off the seeds so far and seems well made. It is good value particularly when you buy two items together. It also helps protect the bird seed from rain.However due the cable design when hanging (rather than fitting to a pole) it does not hang level and looks out of adjustment, not the end of the world but a bit annoying.NOTE the very similar and more expensive Gardena version has an extra washer insert to help keep the baffle hanging level, I would probably have bought this instead if I had know before hand.

Had a few baffles over the years and they really do work. These are very similar to a more expensive brand I bought previously which eventually cracked. Can suspend baffle from branches or fit to poles but pesky squirrels can generally navigate around branches to reach the feeders but they seem to be stumped by poles.

Absolutely perfect …. Larger than I expected but it does the job …..Peanuts last so much longer now the squirrel is not feasting on them all day … Money very well spent …

If you are after a single solution to greedy squirrels emptying your feeder within a day. Take my word; None exist, unless you involve further countermeasures. This dome helps, but isn't foolproof; You may need to use it in conjunction with squirrel proof feeders and/or "double up" using one dome above another!First athletic squirrels can jump up by 1.5metres (5ft) or across or down from a ledge (fence top) or overhang (tree) by over 2.5 metres (8ft)! So your feeder needs to be in a 2.5m clear zone, otherwise no countermeasure will work for very long.This dome doesn't work well as a hanging countermeasure. The dome is too small; A squirrel will soon learn that by hanging from the wire with its hind legs and stretching out to use its body to tip the dome towards the feeder, it can somersault and grab onto the feeder. I've since tried "double doming" one dome directly above another. Time will tell.As a pole mounted climbing deterrent it works much better. You may have to apply a lubricant to the dome and pole from time to time and the odd squirrel can just about get enough grip to circumvent it, but I find keeping the dome clean avoids this.These domes aren't cheap and whilst plastic, it is prone to cracking and shattering if it falls (by said squirrel chewing through wire).Tip: Don't buy expensive mild steel pole feeders that rust to pieces ...you can make your own with few lengths of 22mm copper plumbing pipe and a 22mm Tee piece. This lasts a lot longer than steel as it doesn't rust and costs less.Edit: December 2022, well they nearly managed 12months, but several succumbed to high winds and shattered whilst sill hanging; They didn't even fall off! Repaired using Gorilla Glue clear. And now the wire used to hang it has broke after rusting and rubbing through, repairable. I'd like it if these would last more than year before breaking!

Good squirrel deterrent and keeps the rain off the bird feeders. Our bird feeders are hung off a tree so the occasional determined squirrel can still leap from branches and get to the feeders, but these (together with some judicious pruning of branches) have significantly reduced the number & frequency of squirrel visits. Also great to keep the bird food dry so less worried about mouldy food.

These seem to be working despite have a very determined squirrel who visits my garden (same one, distinctive markings). The first time he tried to get to the feeders he fell off several times, went to different parts of the garden to try and work out a way to get to the food. He tried again several times and when he didn't succeed he was furious, tail swishing backwards and forwards. He then decided to try to bite through the wire so I chased him off. He has worked out that one of the feeders with metal perches can be manipulated so that the perch can be pulled out to give him somewhere to balance on so I have to check and put it back into place if he visits the garden. One of my neighbours is going to get the squirrel baffles. They appear to work and watching the squirrel is entertaining.
