Surprisingly great product. The installation was easy, when I realized my stero wires were labeled so I could follow the directions. The sound is decent, I actually need new speakers but after 30 years thats expected. The Bluetooth works exactly as it did in my other car, it may actually connect faster than my 2018 Kia did. The call quality is great on my end and only my Husband complained that he couldn't hear me and he has a cheap phone and cheap headphones, so it can't overcome poor quality connections. For my side, the radio is paired to a Samsung Galaxy s23, it plays Pandora and Amazon Music 🎶 with no issues, though I do need to turn the sound up, which I had to do in my Kia so, no difference.Great streo and a price that I loved 😍.

Easy installation
This radio plugged in to my 2022 John Deere 5100 factory wiring harness. You will have to buy a antenna adapter separately. Love that the radio is Bluetooth capable in automatically connects to my phone and Spotify. When I purchase this from Amazon I thought I was getting a remote which was in the description but did not. But it's okay

It really is a BOSS for the price...
I received this unit a few days ago. The installation was easy. I bought the dash kit for my 2002 Ford Ranger and the wiring harness so I wouldn't have to cut any wires from the factory wiring. The wire colors from the radio connector and the Ford adapter matched up perfectly. I soldered the wires and used heat shrink tubing to make for a neat looking cable. With the right tools the old radio was easily removed from the dash. The dash adapter I bought made the install of the new radio a neat looking setup. I put my music library on a SD card which I also like because if doesn't stick out like a USB drive would, although I do like having the USB connection on the face of the unit. I'm a person that is happy to let my music play randomly so I don't need to fiddle with controls while I'm driving trying to find a particular song. I have almost 800 songs that gives me many hours of listening pleasure. I like the sound of unit from the factory speakers. Changing the source is done easily either from the remote or the radio controls. Songs continue from were they left off when turning the unit back on. FM and AM stations come in crisp and clear. I would say for the price this is an outstanding radio. Time will tell the durability of the unit.Update - 3/12/2014 As other reviewers have stated I too have the problem of the radio not coming on when I start my 2002 Ford Ranger and it won't turn on from the radio buttons. I found that if I start the truck by going to the next key position and wait a couple seconds until the radio comes on then go to the start position I don't seem to have the problem. It also does sometime forget to start a song were it left off and goes to the number one song instead. I have to hit the random button to get it to go back to random playback. Despite these two quirks I still like the radio. It has good sound with my factory installed speakers and I like having the SD card slot on the front. The SD card doesn't stick out or get in the way and a 32 gig card will hold more music than I can even imagine using.

If you're buying it for the bluetooth audio, watch out
Incredible improvement. Replaced a 1987 jvc stereo so maybe i'm just not used to features. I love this bluetooth connectivity. The phone doesn't even leave my pocket. Once paired, I get into my car, turn on the stereo and my podcast picks up right where I left off. Leaving my car I pop off the faceplate, podcast paused. Never experienced such convenience in audio. Maybe my standards aren't high but the difference between this and my old dying box is night and day. Tons of options for audio. It was easy to install, all cables clearly marked and prestripped. It was a quick 20 minute setup. Just remember the yellow just connects with the positive same as the red wire. Some big gripes though. The remote is 100% useless. It uses IR which is just dumb. I have to point it at the stereo to use it which totally eliminates the convenience compared to the face buttons. Which means it can't be used to control the stereo outside of the car, which means it can't just be attached to something for quick controls. Real bummer. Also it makes phone control with phonecalls almost impossible. In order to dial the phone with the radio you need to do it with the remote. As mentioned, it doesn't work. I have no idea why Boss would think dialing a number with a remote that can't keep up was even feasible. Parked (because you should never try this while driving.) I tried 3 times to dial a number with the remote. Not once did this result in a successful call. The system seems impatient for the number prompts. You are supposed to hit the call button and dial a 10 digit number. It thinks you've given up by number 4 and stops. This is on top of the number pad on the remote being organized nothing like a phone number pad. As if it could register the number hits fast as i could dial it on the remote (it wont). Phone quality was not great either. Calling someone they could hardly hear me. Microphone placement must not be greatOther than that, usb works good, sd works good, bluetooth works good. Sound quality is good. 3 stars because that remote is absolute garbage, which is a shame because it limits the advertised features. When everything is geared to moder media, why would you do it all with an IR remote? Just silly.UPDATE:Lowering my rating again. There is a distinct whine in the bluetooth audio that will not go away. I have tried multiple devices and the issue persists. When I first sync the bluetooth device. the audio seems fine. However, when you leave and return and it automatically resyncs, a buzz or hum is heard under all audio tracks. I initially thought it must have been a problem with my old iphone, however, now i've tried it with an android tablet and a new iphone. First sync audio is clear as day. Once it reconnects to the device it gets a background buzz. It's extemely obnoxious and now I have the choice of returning this and having no stereo for god knows how long or living with it. I've checked over the wiring, i've tried repositioning the bluetooth antenna. problem continues to persist. Leading me to think either this unit is defective or just cheap. real bummer as that was my biggest reason for purchase.
