Perfect for armor cosplay!
Based on a suggestion from a fellow cosplayer, I decided to install a pair of these into my 3d printed Shoretrooper armor. I have been beyond thrilled with them!I secured two exciters into my chest plate, which turns the entire chest piece of armor into a speaker. They are sufficiently loud enough to be easily heard inside a noisy convention. The VHB adhesive didn't stick at all to my parts, so I ended up hot gluing the arms into place. This solution keeps the center cone pressed firmly against the armor and makes for great sound.I bought a 10w portable amp / wireless speaker combo for this application. I removed the speaker that came with the amp, and wired the Dayton speakers to it. It was a relatively easy process. I used some heat shrink to protect the board and secured it to the inside of the chest armor between the exciters with some industrial velcro. The board can be easily charged while still attached to the armor, though. The wireless microphone is secured neatly (and conveniently) inside my helmet. I never have any issues with feedback on these speakers, even though the audio is quite loud!I ended up winning an award at a cosplay convention for my costume. The thing that the judges were the most impressed by was how awesome my audio sounded! I just bought another pair of these speakers to install into my Stormtrooper armor. Recommended!

Great little exciter
These little bad boys are great. Used them on the inside of an interior wall for a home automation project.

Doesn't work at all.
I've worked with electronics all my life, from building my own radios to building computers. I have built my own speakers and repaired TV and Receivers. I am not a stranger to working with electronics. I tried to use this multiple times and it just wouldn't work. My suggestion is to look elsewhere for this type of Exciter.

Pleased but see issues detailed in review
Used the drivers to build some 2’x4’ solid foam speakers for my shop based on YouTube videos. They work great but ran into a couple of issues you may want to consider.1. The holes to attach the speaker wires are EXTREMELY small. My solution was to use small speaker wire from dis-assembled TV as a leader, then soldered 14 gauge speaker wire to the amplifier. Not sure if this is the best solution, but it works.2. Removal of the paper from the 2 sided adhesive. Very delicate process for each of the 4 attachment points. Do small outlying arms first, then center. Be patient!Overall extremely happy with the end result. Much better sound than the small Bluetooth speaker I had been using.
