WOW! LOVE THIS TRUTHPASTE! Healed my life long bleeding gums and dry mouth! Worth the price!
First, I almost NEVER write reviews... so something really has to dazzle me to get me this far! I take numerous medications that cause severe dry mouth, and no matter what I have tried in the past when I'd brush my gums would bleed very badly. I've been slowly getting away from chemicals and aiming for more natural products/treatments for myself lately, so I was very intrigued to see this great mix of essential oils, clays, and other natural healing components, that I know work, in Truthpaste. So, i got my little tub in the mail and as a daily consumer of internal clays, was ready for a gritty, earthy tasting brushing experience. Was I wrong! Very smooth feeling, not earthy tasting or gritty! Notes of cinnamon are what I tasted..and it didn't burn my dry mouth like regular mint crest. When i was done (theres no sulfate, so it doesn't foam and i didn't look like a rabid dog with bloody foam dripping from my mouth!) my teeth felt like they were fresh out of a dental cleaning, smooth but not coated in glycerin.. a true clean. I did not have any grit between my teeth as some reviewers have complained about. I also have my tounge pierced and the Truthpaste didn't hurt my piercing. Also, I used a regular toothbrush, and the leftover paste rinsed cleanly from my brush (I'll be getting a natural bamboo brush soon!) as eell as from my sink. But, best of all, after a week of using it twice a day, NO MORE BLEEDING GUMS! And my dry mouth seems to be getting better. It is pricey (I never thought I'd pay $17 for a small tub of toothpaste, but quality doesn't come cheap!) Well worth every penny. And i put just a thin layer on my brush, not a thick strip like tube pastes, so I have no doubt it will last me a good while. If your trying to avoid chemicals and increase your dental health, Truthpaste is what your looking for!

Expensive but worth it!
I wanted to get off of the fluoridated store type toothpastes so I tried out a few different kinds (Doterra OnGuard, Himalaya Herbals Neem & Pomegranate, Natural Tooth and Gum Powder w/ Activated Charcoal) and this one is my favorite. I started with a tube of the Doterra which cleans well and helped my tooth not be so sensitive, but I'd read that glycerin blocks mineralization (don't know how scientific that claim is) so I thought I'd try something without it when I ran out. I got this and the charcoal one (which is kind of messy but whitens nicely). Once you get used to the lack of foaming and the herbal/clay taste, its not bad. Cleans well, didn't stain my teeth, none of that coated feeling the next morning, sensitivity is pretty much gone and my teeth and gums look healthy. I've also noticed that there doesn't seem to be any tarter buildup at all and what I had is greatly diminished. Also, its nice to have a toothpaste that is natural and not filled with ingredients that remind me of my college chem classes! I use the charcoal kind just once every couple of weeks because the powder is kind of messy, but not too bad and whitens a bit. I tried the Himalaya Herbal one when I ran out as it was much less but it has a few ingredients I'd rather do without and foams more than I like now that I'm use to the non-foaming kind. (If I didn't have the $ for this, I'd go with the DoTerra.) The lack of a traditional tube doesn't bother me, not sharing with anyone so I can just scoop some on with the toothbrush. Wish it was about half the price, but as I'm on my second container, I'd say its worth it---your teeth are worth investing in.

really tasty, smooth consistency, but a little pricey
I really dug the TruthPaste for the most part. The first few weeks of using the product my mouth felt great, the taste was a very pleasant wintergreen and I could not tell there were any other ingredients in it. By mouth-feel, he consistency of the paste was extremely smooth. I would be surprised if it wasn't just clay, it was that smooth! So you don't have to worry about it being gritty. By the end of the jar I started to grow a little tired of the TruthPaste, mostly because the product started to leave little globs of paste behind on my tongue and in my mouth. It was kind of odd because it hadn't done that before. The last two weeks of the product were the only time it left any residual product behind, before then, it would rinse right out. I would certainly buy the TruthPaste again, but the price makes it a little hard to buy it regularly. It's not necessarily the fault of the company, because the ingredients involved in making the product are costly. Part of me would like to see it in a tube of some kind just so it reduces the risk of contaminating the container with bacteria or other debris.

I was thrilled when I found this company before even using the product!
I've only just started using Truth Paste, so I can not speak for long term oral health, however, I can already attest to a very clean result immediately after use! I love that it comes in a glass jar ~although it comes w a plastic lid, product is not in contact w lid & plastic lids on glass jars are difficult to avoid!~. I love that they are using organic oil and and clay & turmeric! I read that they use naturally sourced botanical extracts & herbs for their EO's, and use an excellent quality Colloidal Silver. Love that they have truly done their research to provide the healthiest ingredients for optimal oral health, support fair trade & produce their product responsibly in the USA. I began the search for a sincerely healthy toothpaste in an effort to rid my home of Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS, SLSe), parabens, glycerin (from where it doesn't belong!) Flouride, TEA, PEG's and other noxious ingredients dubbed 'safe for consumption.' I was thrilled when I found this company before even using the product! Love the ingred's list posted atop for us to see & appreciate! I make my own organic soaps, creating my own recipes & make organic body butters as well as other personal care products. I was planning to create a toothpaste including clay, oils & bamboo charcoal among other botanicals, but finding TruthPaste gve me a perfect option to improve on my family's health! I like the taste of this more than I anticipated upon opening, considering the topnotes of clove EO, as clove just isn't my fave, yet honestly, I am learning to love the taste! My teeth & tongue feel very clean with each use and I like to make a "mouthwash" after brushing by placing appx 1/2 tsp in my mouth and adding water to freshen my breath & mouth as a whole. One thing I recommend is to remove TruthPaste from jar with a dry, clean finger or small spoon to avoid adding water to this product as well as avoiding cross contamination of germs from multiple tooth brushes. Keeping water out is important b/c although this co uses Rosemary EO for it's preserving qualities <3, any introduction of water to a product w/o a broadband preservative can become breeding ground for staph, molds, and many other undesirables. The antibacterial & antiviral qualities of the EO's. turmeric & Colloidal Silver will help in the battle, but it's best to try to keep water out whenever possible. I mention this as I am immunodeficient & know there are others who have to be aware. Hope you enjoy TruthPaste as much as I am!!

TruthPaste Natural Toothpaste
I’ve been searching for an all organic toothpaste, that is non-irritating, gentle on gums & teeth, as well as fluoride and SLS free. After much research I came upon your product. I am new to the natural toothpaste game. I’ve been dealing with lots of dryness, and, sensitivity where my teeth and gums are concerned. I recently found out that I am allergic to (cannot name specifics) some of the common ingredients found in regular OTC pastes. i.e. the whiting formulas get me every time! However horrible for your mouth, who doesn’t want whiter teeth?! My point, I needed a change. That’s when I found Truthpaste. I’ll be honest. I was really skeptical at first. I’ve heard of lead and other “elementals” that can come along with a product such as this. However, rest assured, this product is not that BAD! I really like the flavor. It is not too sweet or too salty. It definitely has a different consistency if you’re used to the regular paste. I add a small amount of water to my brush once I have the product on my brush, and that seems to solve that issue. My mouth is left feeling remarkably, refreshed, and extremely clean, with no bad breath in sight! (or smell, lol) I’m giving this product 5 stars, because for a first-timer I am really surprised, and pleasantly perplexed. This stuff is good. I’m going to recommend this. You SHOULD try this!!

The taste is new but not unpleasant and easy to get used to
This is more tooth polish than toothpaste. The taste is new but not unpleasant and easy to get used to. My teeth feel as clean as they do when I get a cleaning at the dentist. I haven't had the white tongue situation another reviewer mentioned although I always scrape my tongue when I brush. Sensitivity isn't a problem, I went straight from Sensodyne to truthpaste without a sensitivity hiccup. I have a case of perioral dermatitis and am on antibiotics for it. I found out on the Internet that there may be a connection between this condition and fluoride toothpaste which is why I searched for an alternative and found this product. I had been on the antibiotic for a week before I ordered truthpaste and there wasn't much effect. Now that I have been using truthpaste the improvement is noticeable. I can't say for certain there is a connection but I'm glad I got this product. I recommend this product wholeheartedly. I use a tiny spoon to regulate how much I use each time I brush and to prevent sticking my toothbrush into the jar.

Finally, a healthy, sudsy, tasty toothpaste that works. Clean that lasts a long time.
Finally. I found a healthy toothpaste. Granted it doesn't foam but it does produce saliva making up for it. My teeth feel cleaner much, much longer - my biggest surprise. I don't like cloves but this actually taste good even with clove. The oils are definitely helping oral Lichen Planus. And it doesn't burn! It lasts a long time because I don't need much. Use a toothpick and stir up a little until it is in small chunks, then it is easy to get a tiny amount each time on the toothbrush. Update: I am on my 3rd jar. My teeth stay cleaner longer and a tooth issue resolved only using this. The essential oils ingredients are a key. I don't think it is gritty at all, so another review surprised me. Sold! Try one and you will know.

Much prefer Uncle Harry's
I ordered this in conjunction with Uncle Harry's Spearmint Toothpaste so that I could compare the two. The TruthPasate went into the trash bin. It was oily and tasted disgusting in comparison to Uncle Harry's, which I found tasted pretty darn similar to a normal natural toothpaste and is incredibly refreshing. My kid, who has vehemently refused to ever use anything like Crest or the regular junk, loved Uncle Harry's from the start. After about 6 weeks of use, my teeth are also much whiter (not using any other product aside from Uncle Harry's Toothpaste, although I'm keen to try their re-mineralization products next). That was a welcome surprise. Much less bad breath all day, too. I really look forward to brushing my teeth with Uncle Harry's. I also wondered about some of the ingredients in Truthpaste -- I don't with Uncle Harry's and there's a lot less ingredients, too boot. No comparison here, we are in love with Uncle Harry's and ordering more to have on hand.
