Razor Jr. Lil' Kick Scooter

I bought this for my 3 year old son for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! It was pretty easy to assemble, too, which was nice! The only complaint I have about this scooter is that there's not enough room for both feet to go on after he's himself off the ground. It handles really nicely, it's lightweight and it's stored easily behind our couch. We love it! - As a wife and as a mom of 3 kids, I spend a lot of time shopping for deals on the best products out there for my family. It's important to me that if we're spending our hard earned money that we get a top notch product in return. I often rely on the reviews and opinions of others when contemplating purchasing a new product that I haven't tried before myself. Because of that, any products that I buy (whether on Amazon or from a 3rd party) I always make sure to leave a detailed review of the product to help others when selecting items to purchase, as well. My family tests these products fully before forming a solid opinion and writing a review. I bought this for my 3-year-old niece and a blue one for my 3-year-old nephew and watched as the daddies put them together. The boxes were sturdy cardboard and the pieces were nicely wrapped for protection. Only wrenches (supplied in package) were needed for assembly. The wheels were attractively encased in super this rubber-like material and are not likely to wear out anytime soon. The fork looked strong. The foot rest was solid and thick. The handlebar came with a decorative velcro pad to guard against hitting little heads on the metal handlebar. The colors were bright and cheerful-looking. The kiddies just loved them and the daddies happily taught them how to ride their first scooters. Uncle was pleased with his purchase and all the hugs he received.

I got this as a gift for my 3 year old niece. She had been begging her mom for a scooter or a bike, so it was her Aunt to the rescue. My brother had a razor when we were kids, so at this point, the brand has been around a while and seems to still be doing well, and after she opened it, both her dad and uncle were so engrossed in the Football game, it was left up to her aunt and mom to put it together. That's the best part - it was easy to put together! We followed the easy to read directions and had it together in less than 10 minutes. She supervised and then scooted around the house and later, the sidewalk. It was a great gift that I feel will definitely last.

We bought this for our son for his 3rd birthday. He LOVES it and rides around the house on it all the time. He has yet to ride it outside because we live in the NorthEast and it's winter, but I'm sure that he will have loads of fun scooting around the driveway come spring. The scooter was VERY easy to assemble, it is the perfect size for him and I like the fact that it stands on it's own. I do agree with the other reviewers that the scooter is for a younger age set than recommended on the product. My son will probably grow out of it fairly quickly, both size-wise and challenge-wise (since there is no actual balancing needed.) But his little brother will be happy to play with it at that point, I'm sure. The 2 reasons I did not give it 5 stars are that- it does not have a brake on the back of the board like other models and it also does not have the cool light-up wheels that other models have.

My 22 month old daughter always see's her three older brothers riding their Razor Scooters throughout the neighborhood and in our backyard. She has tried to ride their scooters but she is just too small for a full sized Razor scooter and also not able to balance on the two wheeled scooters yet. The scooter does not come out of the box ready to ride like most Razor Scooters. Some assembly is required and it took my Husband about 5 minutes to put the whole scooter together. All the tools were included in the box which was a nice change from most kids toys. The scooter is very sturdy. All 3 of my son's ages, 8, 11, and 15 have ridden it and it survived and wasn't damaged in any way. I certainly wouldn't recommend this size for a non toddler but if a big kid rides it, it's not going to break into pieces. I was pretty surprised how sturdy it is! I also like the fact that because it has 3 wheels it doesn't wobble at all. The handles aren't slippery or hard for my daughter to grasp. I am a fan of all the Razor scooters, but this one exceeds my expectations for durability and the fact it doesn't wobble! My 22 month old hasn't grasped the whole kicking off with her other foot but she does stand on it and sort of propel herself forward. I paid full price for this Razor Jr Lil Kick Scooter. My daughter absolutely loves her scooter. She is 4 years old and the size is perfect for her. I'm very comfortable with her on it as it won't tip as easy as a "big kid" scooter. It's the perfect starter and learning scooter for little ones. It doesn't go as fast either but I'm okay with that as she is learning. She rides it in the house most of the time as it is now super cold outside but when we are outside, it does pretty good over sidewalks that are uneven and when she hits rocks.

My 2 1/2 year old little girl got one of these for Christmas. She is off like a rocket, which she loves. She gets tired quickly, but as she gets better at it and gets older it will be perfect. Her 4 1/2 year old brother has a more advanced model but she does fairly well at keeping up. The rubber wheels make this a nice, quiet ride so we don't disturb the neighbors at 8am on a Saturday morning when we set off to the playground... Seems good quality and very stable. I still would recommend a helmet be worn though just in case. Addition to the above: I initially rated this scooter higher but after months of having it, my daughter can't ride it well. The double wheels are at the back and she keeps hitting them with her foot. The more expensive Kick scooter that we bought for my son is preferable to this one. It has the double wheels at the front and seems more stable when in motion.

Very happy with the product overall. Assembly was sort of a pain and the plastic cover that covers a bolt in the handle slides up, but otherwise good. Solid and stable. Takes balance to us and isn't a standup "by itself" scooter, but good for my four year olds birthday. I wish I had bought this when she was a little younger because I think I may only have a few months left for use before she grows too tall. Not adjustable for height. She is 42 inches tall now and it's perfect. She is a 'taller' 4 year old. Overall good value for the money.

Great little scooter for young children, very stable and easy to ride

This is a quality product. My 4yo has had 1.5 years use out of it and it still looks and works great. It's a good height for him still even though he is tall. It was easy for him to learn to use.

I ordered this for my 3 year old and she bumps her ankles on the back bolts that stick out of the wheels but if she wears rubber boots, it's ok. She likes it, and it is just right for her size. If they could redesign this so the bolts don't stick out, I would give it 5 stars.
