Had a scare with a PS that died in the first month, hoping the second one is better.
Okay, third update to this review. My first power supply worked great for the first few weeks. It seems to like to slide out or get pushed out of the socket, I'm not sure what that's about. But my first PS started to die on me within the first month. At first I thought that the PS had broken the port on the laptop because it would disconnect the power unless I pushed or pulled on the plug in some way or another.I've just gotten the replacement that I had sent, and it seems to be working well. But I will have to wait and see if it starts to die after the first month as well. If it makes it I'll push this back up a star or two.All in all the power supply it's self appears to be solid, and well made, I just worry about the power plug on the laptop side of the PS.When my power supply died for my Acer Predator P315-51 I was terrified of a $100+ bill for a new supply. Then I found this beauty! One and only complaint is this. The plug that goes into the laptop seems to be just barely larger than the original, so it is constantly being pushed or sliding out of the socket. Periodically my laptop will beep at me to let me know that the PS has been disconnected and I'm back on battery power. I just push on the plug which has slipped out some and it's back in business! This is more a nuisance than a problem.Other than that complaint, the power supply is great, feels solid, and seems to have great heat dissipation. The extra long cable is a great feature, the wire is a nice sturdy gauge and feels sturdy. The cable to the wall is also a nice gauge and feels sturdy.

Does charge Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-54-70KK)
I ordered 2 chargers. 1 out of 2 failed within 6 months and my Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-54-70KK) abruptly and randomly stopped getting a charge from this product. I reached out to support and they replaced it, no questions asked. The new charger works fine.If you have a support issue make sure you go through Amazon support and NOT through the PowerSource website or their email, you won't get a reply.

It works fine (mostly)
This power supply works fine EXCEPT for one strange bug that it took me a while to address. It certainly succeeded in charging my Acer Predator (I had misplaced the OEM charger). However, once the laptop is charged, it appears to be the case that the charger turns itself off, and you're running on the laptop battery. The work around that I eventually discovered is to pull the charger connector out of the laptop, and then plug it back in. For some reason this seems to "wake up" the charging function. This may not be the fault of the charger, but rather of the Acer Predator charging port, which is (frankly) poorly designed compared to the far superior charging port of Apple's laptops.Other than that charging weirdness, I have no complaints.

great replacement
I've been using this for 3 months now, and it works like the original. I got my Asus predator at a pawn shop, so I dont exactly remember the condition of the original power supply before it went bad. My original power supply powered my Asus Predator for a good 3 months before one of two things caused its downfall. 1) I got a new water proof case for the laptop and I sometimes closed the lid on the cable, probably unknowingly snipping and crimping it. and/or 2) My cat would get curious as to what wire would taste like. Anyway, I noticed my origian power adapter wires became frayed for those or other reasons and I had to replace it with this. I'm more careful about placing the power adapter in my case now, and I try not to leave the laptop and power cables unattended around curious cats. This is a bit pricey, but it works. Seems to charge the laptop in about 90 minutes. IDK if its a powers setting, but my Predator only stays charged for another 90 minutes before it gets fully depleted again. I would recommend this charger. It has good reviews.

Works better than the original brick for the Acer Aspire A715-71G
This product is far better than the stock power supply for the Acer Aspire A715-71G. The stock power supply would get very hot, to the point that it slipped the cable wrapping free from the reinforcement around the brick (leaving dangerous exposed wiring) and would overheat. The stock power supply would cause the laptop to slow down and underperform when the power supply was overheating (the power supply was seemingly cooking itself). When the power supply got hot enough it ceased charging (seemingly as a protection). The stock power supply was rated for 135W while this one is rated for 180W. This power supply has long cords connecting to both ends of the power brick, does not overheat (it gets slightly warm at most), has an unobtrusive green power led, has a velcro tie included on the wire, and connects to the laptop's charging port at a slightly tilted angle (likely to slip out instead of breaking in the case of accidentally tugging/yanking on the port). The reinforcement of the cable on the connection to the brick also inspires confidence. I'd take this over the OEM version from Acer any day of the week.

Works.
The original power adapter stopped working properly, would connect/disconnect and make an annoying beeping sound each time. I was ready to throw my acer nitro 5 laptop at the wall out of anger, thinking it was the laptop - decided to get a replacement power adapter to test it out and it works great. no more disconnecting issues. mine fits snug in my laptop, but it doesn't fall out if you move it as others have claimed. it also doesn't run hot as others have claimed as well. at least for my acer nitro an515-53 - also feels sturdy and put together quite nicely. highly recommend if you're having any issues like mine.
