A steal for what they're charging
Product is great, stories are definitely geared toward 13 to 17 year olds but I quite enjoy them in adulthood. It's a shame the manga is uncolored, but I understand that it'd probably cost twice as much in retail (though I'd honestly be fine with that). My only real gripe is that the pages should be slightly thicker, sometimes you can half see the page behind the current one. That and the translation has odd things going on, Yugi Mutou's last name is rendered "Mutoh" in the second volume multiple times despite it being identified as "Mutou" elsewhere throughout. There's a duplication of the word "the" but that happens. It doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the manga.

More for your Money
If you like Yu-Gi-Oh and you want a little more for your money, I absolutely suggest getting the 3 in 1. Only downside is that the pages are thinner, and you have to be a bit delicate because the cover is paper back and easy to scratch. (Mine is just from reading it and not being super careful.) But if you’re careful and don’t mind, then it shouldn’t be an issue at all and won’t stop you from enjoying it. The art and the story is a lot of fun.

Good pre-anime stories to establish the nature of the pharaoh
I really enjoyed this. As others have said it's a bit darker than the anime, but not too dark. It uses the Japanese names. I liked seeing more detail of the origins of the pharaoh. Most of these stories take place in Yugi's high school and have little to do with "children's card games." I imagine later volumes have more card playing, though there is some. The focus is rather on "games" and how the pharaoh loves games and... poetic justice? Again, it's a little dark, but not that dark. Also, for any people out there like me who weren't sure about the format when they bought it, it reads like manga, back to front, right to left. I realize that some people will read this comment and think it's obvious, but I didn't know how Americanized this would be. I don't buy a lot of manga.

Such a great Series!
I love this series I have all the books. It is such a great story and way better than the anime. I highly recommend it. Before toy buy it though you should know that the book is read right to left because it's translated from Japanese. Its totally worth it though and even though its backwards if you speak English its not that different and you get used to it quickly. The book is amazing and a turning point for me because before it I almost never read unless I had to or it was on my phone. So even if you don't like to read than I still recommend giving it a chance. All the books came in great condition and have that new book smell freshly printed in beautifully done black and white. The book also has small notes on a few pages for things that you may not understand about something from Japanese culture which are helpful if your American or from anywhere that isn't Japan. It's great for teenagers or tweens is a little dark for kids under 10 or so.
