Decent product. Needs instructions
This is a nice product. It's rear mount allows it to stay away from the pedals which means you can reverse you bike out of the driveway with it on. It also looks good which is nice. The one negative is that there are no instructions with it and while i mounted my second one in 2 minutes, the 1st took 30 minutes of googling. The kickstand stopped working and i was ready to return it. Turns out the adjustment was not set properly. Of course without instructions, i had no idea that it was wrong to begin with or even how to fix it, but again, thanks to the internet, and 2 days later, i fixed the problem. Please throw up some instructions.Updating.. This product does have some flaws. The torsion to adjust it for height doesn't seem to hold all that great. Have to adjust periodically.

Will it fit?
The stand is a simple design and well made. But the big question is will it fit my bike. The answer is yes if you don't have disk brakes or if your disk brake assembly mounts on the rear of the seat stay - not between the seat and chain stays.I have a DB Haanjo Metro and this doesn't fit because my brake assembly is mounted on the front side of the seat stay - exactly where the stand mounts.

works with my bikes disc brakes
I can confirm that this does work on my diamondback response bike with disc brakes. As another reviewer mentioned it is a very close fit. 2mm or so clearance. As long as the disc is true, and no rubbing occurs it should be good.As a kickstand it seems very sturdy and the bike does not feel like it will topple over any time soon.Added: I have found that it is more effort to put my rear wheel back on my bike with this, because of the small amount of clearance. You have to have the wheel completely straight as you try to put the axle into the dropouts otherwise the rotor tends to catch on the mount for the kickstand. This is not a problem, but something to be aware of if you are looking to buy it.

Great design--mounts to the rear of the frame
Great design--mounts to the rear of the frame, keeping it out of the way of the pedals. It also supports the bike where most of the weight is--in the rear. This is especially important because I have saddle bags that I use for groceries and the center-mounted kickstand on my old bike didn't support the weight as well, allowing the bike to tip over. I also like the plastic bulb on the end of the shaft--it keeps the stand from sinking into soft ground. The unit seems sturdy, but time will tell. Installation was easy, once I figured out where to mount it. The directions were very limited and could be greatly improved with pictures or diagrams.

Well made and pretty sturdy in use
Well made and pretty sturdy in use. I would have given it at least 4 stars, maybe 5, but it came with no instructions of any sort. Just parts in a plastic bag. Not even an illustration on the bag tag. If it wasn't for other reviewers here it would have taken me a while to figure it out, and I'm an engineer! Thank you reviewers, especially the the one who added pictures! It did not need to be adjusted in length but if it did, I'm still not sure how to do that. Any hints???

Just the accessory I needed for my new Diamondback bike!
I bought the 2015 Diamondback Vital 2 bike from Amazon for myself for Christmas. After the fact, I decided I wanted to add the kickstand. Since this product was on Amazon.com for the Diamondback bike I naturally purchased this one. My husband installed the kickstand on my bike which is the 15" frame. It works great. I do not think I would recommend this kickstand for the 17" frame. With it being a rear mount, it barely holds the weight of my 15" frame so with a larger bike there may be some difficulties. For my purposes it works great!

So far, I like
I have the women's Diamondback Serene bike. I just attached this kickstand today, so I cant say much for it's longevity. Even though I really like it, it did take me a bit of research to figure out where it went on the bike. That's right...it didn't come with instructions. So here are a few pictures for y'all!

Pro: The stand fit according to product description on ...
Pro: The stand fit according to product description on amazon. Con: There were no instructions with the product. You will need some Allen wrenches to install it and a little creativity. It was also a little challenging for me to adjust the length but got the job done in less than a half-hour.
