Knowledge Boosting
All of his books come highly recommended. Very valuable knowledge. If you’re serious about levelling up then you will do no harm to own and collect all of the books as a collection.

Anything by MMM is gold, this book included.
I already had the two ‘framed perspective’ books written by the author and found them to be the very best and most easily understandable ‘how to’ books I’ve ever come across. This book is lighter (in both page number and depth of explanation) than those, but still very useful in terms of insight.Even though it’s broken down into categories named for the tools (ballpoint pen, pencil and digital) don’t let that fool you — what it really adds up to is a comprehensive drawing lesson that teaches how to represent 3D forms on a 2D medium: think of “ballpoint pen” as ‘how to use line for outline and hatching’, think of “pencil” as ‘how to blend line and graduation in values’ and “digital” as ‘starting an image with the shadow/light (chiaroscuro). You can do all/any of it in any one of the mediums and by the time you’ve finished the book you’ll have a great idea of how to do all the basic parts that make a great drawing.I actually think MMM is a bit of a genius, and I intend to buy his Framed Ink books (about composition for storytelling) in the near future.

Amazing book for beginners want to get into digital art!
I love this book! It's perfect for someone new to drawing like me and want to get into digital painting. The author covers some fundamental skills such as line, light, shadow, shading etc from traditional and progressively toward digital with some tricks. The best part for me is that the author shown reference picture and how he proceeded to create a picture from analysing the structure of the object, the lines (vertical or horizontal ) that help shape up the object, the shadow and finally how to add texture to make it pop out. Exactly what I need!

Exhausting layout
I admire and have learnt something from all the previous Framed books, but they all have a flaw that finally got too big to ignore in this release: The layout drains your energy. You spend as much time trying to link each 'explainer' caption of text to the relevant drawing figure on the page (that is if it's even on the same page or in the same book) as you do just trying to take in the drawing itself and try to understand the techniques being explained. And "explained" is a loose term here, as they aren't full explanations either.I generally buy art books with low expectations; if even one quarter of the book was useful in learning a key piece of info then i tell myself it's money well invested, even if the other three quarters of the book are taking up space and collecting dust. This book didn't even meet that standard. All this said with respect for the author and team behind it because i do like the Framed series overall.
