Bang for your buck
So far I have ran 4 sets of these tires. 2 sets on my victory Vegas and I'm about to buy my 3rd set for my victory magnum. I love these tires. Great performance and mileage for the price. But this last set on my magnum was horrible. I'm guessing I just had a dud. Went on a recent trip that was about 1500 Miles total. Tire had maybe 5k Miles on before trip. On my last few hundred miles coming home. The tire started building and warping on the side causing a very harsh bumpy ride. Well that's my only complaint so far with these tires. I usually get about 15k miles on rear tires. And I ride hard. All in all great tires. I'm buying another to replace the defective one.

Cupped toward the end after 11k miles.
Don't let the price snobs push you away, shinkos are good tires. Soft compound so they stick well in rain and dry, first set lasted 15k miles, second set rear got 11K with 4K of that pulling a 450lb trailer on a victory vision.

Great tire
I love these tires. Living in NC we do a lot of curvy, mountain roads. I've ridden Goldwings exclusively (1500 & 1800) since 1996 and used various models of Dunlops and Avons in the past. I like these much better than the Dunlops and consider them on par with the excellent but expensive Avons. My riding buddy runs Michelins and we both consider the ride of the Shinko Journeys on par with them also. In other words, the price is great and they handle wonderfully. Control in the rain is all I hoped for. Ride is smooth with no roaring or singing in the curves. Judging from my mileage so far I believe these should provide long wear. When I was researching these before I bought them the only truly negative reviews were from people who had never owned them. ("These can't be any good they are too cheap!" & "My life is worth $600.00 for a set of tires, if yours is not you must be a fool!" ) -- You know the type, any opinion different than there's must be wrong. Don't buy into all that guff -- people who don't have a clue just love to give their opinion. If you have bought and ridden Shinko Journeys and found them lacking, fair enough, that makes your opinion as valid as mine but remember you can get a lemon in anything (I will never own another Buick, but that's another story for another review.) Enough said about that. As I said at the start of this ramble, I love these tires and will buy another set when these are history. Give them a try, you will be pleased.
