as it works great! The price is great
I have a ProMaster variable ND filter, and as long as you don't crank it all the way 'past MAX', the filter does exactly what it is supposed to do. It's when you try to get that last little .001 of a STOP that these vignetting 'splotches' happen.I will buy this variable ND filter for other lenses, as it works great!The price is great!

Not worth it
I bought this because I hear ND filters are amazing, they may be, but this one is not. When I set it to the darkest setting and took the picture it was splotchy, dark spots all over the image. I guess I will save up for one of the more expensive ones.

Unusable.
This filter shows significant dark and light spots, especially past the half way point. This photo was taken with the filter at about 70% strength. You can see the dark areas in the bottom left and top middle. These get worse the higher the filter strength. When the filter is totally stopped down, there is almost a total "X" over the image.
