KORDON #39556 Prevent Ich for Aquarium, 16-Ounce

I have been in the hobby for years. A lot of products claim to be safe for both fresh & saltwater reef safe invert etc. But the only one that I have found too be all that they say to be. Is this one right here Kordon prevent ick. Have not lost any fish from salt to freshwater, corals invert safe. The key is patients. In this hobby you must be. This product covers a broad range of issues which are beneficial for the health of your system & it's inhabitants. I took a chance nearly 4years ago & am glad I did.

If you are buying this product to treat saltwater Ich (Crypto), do not waste your money or time better spent with a proven method. I used this product exactly as directed on the bottle. I had just brought home a Powder blue tang, which had no sign of Ich for the first five days of quarantine. I fell for the prevent Ich claim of this product, dosing it daily after removing all carbon. I added slightly more than the listed dose just to be sure. On the eighth day of using this product the powder blue tang is covered nose to tail with Ich. I routinely inspect my quarantined fish, and the Ich became visible under the lights at night on day six. I have no doubt the tang had Ich from the store, but they obviously multiplied heavily in the tank over a week, despite the generous daily dosing of Prevent Ich. I have been keeping marine fish for over a decade, and all of my water parameters are great. This product is no miracle Ich preventative, and it is the reason people use copper or hypo salinity over gimmick products like this, and there are many. Now that I am $22 poorer after buying two bottles, I will order a copper treatment like I should have from the start.

I use this product when acclilmating new fish to my 125 an with almost 300pds of rock trying to catch a goby is IMPOSSIBLE.. so treatment before releasing into the system is the way I go. Never had a issue after using it.. works really well with my daughter's 5.5 gal freshwater when treating be for release. An few drops in the bag when floating is all thats needed, why not treat just a bag of water instead of treating the hole system?? Not sure about the rest of you but I like my money..

I have used as a part of the tritment for finn root on my gold fish.It helped to reduce the stress and general wellbeeing.
