A pretty fun card game
I recently saw this game at a comic book shop and it looked sort of fun. Inquiring about it, I found that a couple of the guys at the shop had played it before, and they said it was pretty fun. I looked for more descriptions of it, online, and then I added it to my mental checklist of stuff to purchase at some point in the future. I ordered it the other day from amazon, and have now had a chance to play it a few times. It's a fun little game, and one I would recommend to my friends. The title, alone, is sure to get people interested in playing, seeing as how it's so twisted. In actuality, the game is really tame, and all of the pictures on the cards are colorful and cartoony - just like the artwork on the box cover. Play is pretty fast and a piece of cake to learn. Even my 4-year old has played this game and spent a lot of time laughing.I should point out that this is a 2-4 player game. The product description on amazon states that this is a 3-12 player game, and that is just a flat-out mistake that needs correcting. Each player is assigned one of the four colors of the kitten cards, and there's just no room for others to play without some sort of future expansion. I don't know that adding more players would make the game any more fun, but maybe it will happen some day if profits demand it?As stated in the product's description, the game CAN be completed in about 30 minutes if you are playing with four players. Play with fewer, and the length of game play will be shortened. Any way you play it, the game time is pretty fast, and can be set up to play very quickly, too, so there's almost always time for a round of this funny game. Fun for kids or adults, this inexpensive card game is a good addition to your family game collection!

Disturbing. Warped. BLEND!
No, there are no gruesome pictures of kittens on a frappe setting in this game. This isn't "Resident Feline", "Dawn of the Shed" or "Underfurred: A New Countertop". There are really only three kinds of cards, and they're less threatening than a first-edition set of Pokemon cartoons. There's the Blender (and cards showing the blender...as threatening as the word "Osterizer" shouted in a shopping mall), "action" cards (which show no action whatsoever), and a bunch of anime pictures of different kittens. That's it. That's all. No yuckiness. It's just a cute kitten game. Of course, the screaming starts when someone "blends" someone else's kittens, but there's no visual aid- just the knowledge that (if you can count to about four) if more than a certain number of your furrballs are in the "Blender" side of the game box, you've probably just lost, and all your strategy is for naught.Still, it's a strangely fun game. Don't recommend playing it if your married friends are both competitive and argumentative, though- this game has caused about DEFCON 2 in the Lexicon of Marital Squabble at our place among married couples.

Blend Up Some Kittens!
This game is great fun! The kittens on the cards are adorable and have equally sweet names which makes it that more devastating when your opponents put them in the blender and murder them! In this game, you try to save your kittens while blending your opponents, which makes for a lively, competitive and sometimes vicious game! "No, not Chicken Noodle! Please don't put him in the blender!" "Mr. Fluffers, he's dead meat!"I like that the game doesn't take too long and is face paced. Only down side is sometimes at the end you can't do much with the cards you have and it can have an uneventful ending. We changed the rules (our house rules) so that you can only stop the Blends with the Blend Pulse Cards but Blend Pulses can never be stopped! This makes the game faster paced. Before we found it was too easy to save your kittens all the time. We're actually so hooked on blending adorable kittens we're looking for an expansion pack. I heard it exists, but haven't found it yet.

Hilarious Fun
Yes, it sounds gruesome, but I cannot tell you just how much fun my friends and I have had playing this game. It's honestly one of my favorite games I've ordered, and it makes for some really simple group fun as you sit around and decide how best to beat out the other players and their Kittens. The most fun we have with it is in deciding which cats get the blender. I love listening to the reactions to the art (which is adorable) on the cards. I'll hear someone say "No, you can't kill Gilgamesh-look at those eyes! He's just so cute!" or "Sebastian looks like a jerk, put that dude in the Blender!" It's hilarious fun-and nice and quick paced so you can still keep a good conversation going while entertaining yourself.

All my prescious kittens...
So, I picked this one up on a whim. It came up in the recommended for you section, and the name just caught me. I mean, how can you not check out a game call Kittens in a Blender? Plus, it was on sale ridiculously cheap, and with free shipping on Amazon plus. Why the heck not? I was so pleasantly surprised. It's a game that everyone seems to be looking forward to playing whenever we get together. As sad as it may sound, we've become attached to certain kittens (some aren't so pretty), and it hurts to see them in the blender. All in all, it's a simple and quick little game of stickin' to the other guy while tryin' to save your own kittens. Almost anyone can play it, and everyone who has enjoyed it. Fun, stuff. I only wish there was an expansion for more players.

Generic Card game with attention grabbing name
Decent enough game that's good for shock value the first time you play it. The mechanics are a little simple and you often find yourself just trading cards back and forth against your opponents to stop them from triggering the blender. It basically boils down to luck on how many Blend Pulse cards you draw. If you ever played Gloom or Munchkin you know how these mostly luck based games play out. Still no one buys these types of card games for their deep strategy. It's generally about how funny the cards are and the general hilarity that results as you play the game with friends. Even in this regards I think games like Unexploded Cow and Munchkin provide more laughs. The game only really seems to shine when we have a cat lover playing with us and we make adorable kitten meows when triggering blend.
