As with other reviewers, there are a few common comments to be noted. First would be that the base slides when removing the carafe. Issue resolved by putting a piece of non skid shelf material under it. Would have been nice if it came with rubberized feet, but not a big enough issue to return it. If you're used to glugging when pouring from a larger carafe that has a wider spout, adjust you're pouring speed. Again not a big enough issue to return it. Timer panel isn't back lit but we don't preset for auto start so no problem there. The brewed coffee could be a hotter but we have a microwave so re heating, when needed, isn't an issue although I understand that some folks may not want to reheat. We're not coffee aficionados so warming it back up isn't issue enough to return it. What we were looking for was something larger than 5 cups, less than 10 cups AND auto off feature at a reasonable price point. This fits the bill!

been using this crap since late august. first it weighs nothing. some days it brews fine. most days it clogs or leaks. some days it brews quickly other days it brews then stops and i have to turn it off and on to get it to start again. sometimes it will brew half a pot and until i pour a cup it won't brew the rest of the coffee. half the time the pause and serve doesn't work. it's difficult to even get the pot out it's so tight. then this morning it just quit in the middle of a brew. not even the middle it was less than a cup in. i didn't expect much for the price but damn what a waste of my money. i don't get much as it is. but the fact that i now have to buy a new coffee maker just pisses me off. i get to chose between disappointing my grandchildren with nothing for christmas or a coffee maker. i guess i no longer drink coffee.

After spending hundreds of dollars a year replacing my keurig style coffee makers I finally decided to go back to a regular coffee maker. Been using it every day for a couple months now and it works just fine. Heats up and brews coffee. Much more friendly on the wallet to then the pods. If it quits working Iโm not out much Iโll buy again!

I ordered the 8 cup because I wanted ability to program it so it turns on in the morning by itself. The display is very, very tiny, but if you're someone that doesn't care about a clock and just wants to be able to program a small coffee maker, this coffee maker is for you. It's small, convenient, and does exactly what I need it to do. The plastic on top feels a bit flimsy, but it closes securely. It brews a full pitcher in about 5-10 minutes and the coffee strength depends on how much coffee you put into the convenient reuseable filter that comes with it. All in all, very pleased with this coffee maker.

I was happy with my old 12 cup brewer but I only brew 6-8 cups so I thought something smaller would be better. I also wanted a "cone" filter brewer because I would often brew less than a full pot of coffee. 1. This one has a "cone" but it's only the reusable basket filter. What it fits into is more round bowl shaped with ribs sticking out. If you put a paper filter into this bowl the coffee seems weak. If you use only toe provided reusable basket the finer grounds get through into your pot. I use both and it brews a decent cup of coffee. 2. It's slow. I can't compare times because my old brewer quit -that''s why I bought a new one -but it seems to take as long to brew 8 cups in this as it did to brew 12 cups in the old one. 3. Pour slow or clean up the mess. Not only does it brew slowly but you must pour slowly or the pot dribbles all over whatever is under it. 4. It seems to put out a LOT of steam at the end of the brewing cycle. I'm used to a little steam at the end of the brewing cycle but this one turns into a real steamer. I'm concerned that over time it will damage the cabinet that is over the brewer. So, that's it. It brews a decent cup of coffee but there are these annoying little things. I suspect I will replace it before long.
