great buy
The glasses are for a far more competitive price here than many other places (sunglass hut) and work great. The difference between the 06 and 05 for those that are curious is the 05 is a slimmer looking lense from top to bottom. A sportier look I'd say. The only reason it is 3 stars instead of a cool 5 is that one lense on my glasses is noticably more loose then the other. Enough to cause me to worry about future problems and not make mr comfortable with a perfect 5 on this review as they are now. Hope this helps.

Great value even at this price
To date, this has been the only pair of shades i liked at the get go. Super light, but seem extremely durable. It wraps around your eyes/face very well, and there are very few gaps. So eyes are well protected.wore it in bright sunlight and results were excellent. the Polarization was excellent. All in all, havent seen any cons so far. Will update this after I use it for a few days.

Save Yourself the Hassle
Horrible lenses. Prism-like reflection in each lens was not only hugely distracting but made it difficult to focus through, like looking through someone's prescription glasses. After 10 minutes my eyes were tired for the rest of the day. NOT Ray Ban quality. On the plus side, the seller, Star Eyewear, was fantastic with the return, going so far as to email a return shipping label. WOuld definitely buy from them again. Not so sure about buying Ray Bans, however.

Solidly built shades in a world of cheap junk.
Just received these shades and am so very impressed by their build quality and precision construction. These seem machined out of a sheet of carbon fiber fabric, unlike so many other brands which feature cheap molded plastic frames (often times, poorly finished with molding flash creating sharp edges or seams). The carbon-fiber frame is exceptionally strong and flexible, but is also feather light (it seems like you can wring the Dickens out of the frame and it won't break). The aluminum block hinges work well and don't feel like they're going to break after just a few uses. The lenses are outstanding, with polarization to block out some unwanted shine and just enough mirroring to ensure privacy. Not sure what the light permissivity is for these glasses, but it is decent enough for good light reduction on a very bright day. On the face, these are extremely light and firm fitting, and fit very well over the cheek bones. Having been a previous Oakley wearer, there is no comparison in quality between the two brands; Ray Ban solidly takes the prize and make the Oakleys feel positively cheap and fragile in comparison. The only con I can come up with is that the nose pads were slightly out of alignment when I received the glasses, but they were easily adjusted. Not a big deal, but for $170, every little criticism counts.All-in-all, it is so refreshing to be able to drop $170 on a pair of premium sunglasses and actually feel -- in your hand and on your face -- the quality that makes you think, "man, these were actually worth the price".Solidly recommended.
