Really not 4 stars, but somewhat better than 3. It's a heavy duty unit, fits well in the hand, and does a good job cutting. It has a convenient recharging stand and recharges in an hour. It has a replaceable cutter and maintenance is relatively easy. The trim guards are sturdy and attach/detach easily with a positive lock. Spare parts are readily available. The bare cutter is easily adjustable from 0.8-2 mm. Those are the positive features. Contributing to a lower rating, top to bottom: - The cutters are misaligned on my unit. The head is replaceable (for $70), but poor QC. It still cuts, so no return, but not what you expect in a unit in this price range. I ordered a replacement head, and it seems to be off less, but cutter and titanium comb are not exactly parallel. When cutting lengths are measured in fractions of a millimeter on the clipper itself, being off a millimeter or two on one side or the other is significant for a perfectly straight cut, which you should expect from a clipper at this price point.- The stand is huge. It does include storage for 3 trim guards, but it occupies considerable real estate on your counter, and the cord connector is located in an odd place, on the side and toward the front, so it protrudes another couple of inches requiring even more space.- The U.S. adapter pictured was not the adapter I got with this unit. It's actually the largest adapter I've seen on a recharger - the size and shape of an old electric shaver or a very large bar of bath soap - so you may may find yourself limited in which wall socket to use, and unable to use it where you want it; it almost looks cobbled together and not OEM. The cord is also several feet long, allowing flexibility if you're a long way from an outlet, but also adding feet of cord that must be coiled if you're using typical bathroom outlets less than a foot or two from the unit. The European plug with a U.S. adapter might be smaller, but I imagine it would protrude several inches from the wall. You paid extra for this feature (U.S. plug) in this package, by the way.- There's still a fair amount of plastic on this clipper for the price, so even though it seems to be a sturdy unit, it doesn't feel as substantial as comparably priced units, and this clipper stands out as one of the most expensive rechargeable trimmers.- The trim guards are reversible for different sizes, but that makes them large and less maneuverable, and they protrude from the back of the trimmer in an odd way.- More irritating than functional, but when the clipper is fully charged a red light continually blinks on the clipper, rather than just turning off, changing color or remaining solidly lit. Unique as far as I know for a recharge indicator (usually a blinking red light means something is amiss, or not finished) and resulting in a blinking red night light in your bathroom.Overall a capable clipper, expensive, with quirks and limitations noted. Comes with a small oil bottle and long double-end brush, with 3 trim guards (6 sizes).

I purchased this unit and fully charged it, used it for 5-7 minutes and the battery stops. tried again and charged overnight, again it dies after using 5-7 minutes.I sent it back and got another one, same exact thing happened.Perhaps the power cord doesn't charge the battery properly?Big inconvenience to order, wait for them to arrive then have to package them up again to ship back defective.DO NOT BUY!
