Original Replacement USB Receiver for Logitech Wireless Presenter R400 and R800

First, thanks for Logitech for making this available as a separate purchase. Another company that makes presenters does not make these available separately, hoping to force you to purchase another presenter if you lose this part. I chose instead to go with Logitech...If the presenter doesn't work out of the box, they provide simple instructions to download a program that synchronizes the receiver with your presenter. You have to run it just once; it worked like a charm for me, synchronized as soon as I ran it.The presenter is a quality product, as I've come to expect from Logitech, and this part and how Logitech makes it easy for you to use, fits into the general pattern of my experiences with Logitech. I have several of their Harmony remotes, after using many other products.

Having misplaced my receiver, I ordered just that part instead of the entire pointer. It arrived quickly, but needed a software download. The written instructions that arrived with the receiver directed me to their site and named the software I would need to download. First problem: There is no software by that name on their site. I found software that sounded like it might work. Next problem: That software can't be loaded to a Mac. I used a work computer. Next problem: The software that I thought might work doesn't. I went to their support area where it literally says, "We're here for you 24/7." I typed "receiver software for R400." Next problem: The chatbot did not reply.

I misplaced my receiver the last time I used it, so I had to purchase this. It's a great deal to not have to buy a whole new presenter. The cost of this receiver is good. The hardest part for me was trying to connect the receiver and the device. I tried several time on my own before contacting Logitech's support line. I remained on the phone with a very nice lady who tried everything possible to help me pair the 2. The word of caution I have to give is that if you are using a Windows product that is newer than Windows 8, you will not be able to pair your receiver to the device. This is what the lady told me over the phone and suggested that I try to find another computer that is running Windows 8 to pair them. I found this solution unacceptable.

I bought it for replacing my lost UBD receiver. Unfortunately it does not work. I am very unhappy with the item.

The instructions that came with this receiver only applied to Windows 8 or older OS. If you have Windows 10, no amount of compatibility troubleshooting worked. Logitech did not update the instructions... THERE IS A NEWER CONNECTION SOFTWARE FOR WINDOWS 10 USERS!1. Go to logitech.com/support2. Find your device (in this case, under Mice and Pointers)3. Click on your specific device (mine is R-400)4. Click on "Downloads"5. IMPORTANT: Select "Windows 8" (I know, it didn't make sense that they listed it in windows 8...)6. The first listing will only show "Logitech Presenter Connection Software" but ignore that.7. Click on "Show all downloads"8. It will show the "Presenter Pairing Utility" which is compatible with Windows 109. Download and run the "Presenter Pairing Utility" and just follow the instructions on the application window and that's it!

This replacement did not work with my my pointer as promised!!!

The replacement dongle works great and fits perfectly into the original spot. Follow the included instructions to pair it to the pointer.

Did not work when first connected. I read customer review about the importance of PAIRING the receiver with the transmitter for the unit to function. This is done at the factory with a new unit - but when you lose the receiver and replace, you need to pair the device.Read the instructions that come in the box with the receiver!Download software at [...] and follow the instructions.After the software is installed and opened, need to1. plug in receiver2. Hold both arrow buttons down and turn presenter ON. Continue to hold both arrow buttons down for 5 seconds.3. Close sofware.After three times trying the above procedure, the unit worked.Good luck with yours!
