Lékué Quick Pasta Cooker

Holy Cow! This is one product I would have given a miss thinking it is yet another plasticky over-priced kitchen gimmick, if not for the 5 star reviews... It was on a deal price and kids love their pasta..Took the plunge and turned out to be the most useful kitchen buy in a few years! Have not tried it for all the recipe in the same bowl (can't imagine who would do that) but I have boiled pasta, macaroni, spaghetti, even noodles, each time done to perfection. I have a big microwave so do check dimensions before buying Sturdy, Easily makes 4 portions, contains all the mess, easy to drain (just flip the lid around), cooked pasta into the sauce pan, job done :) Easy to wash. Doesn't take too much storage space either- I just store my spaghetti packets in it now! Dry Pasta takes about 14 minutes for my liking. But at least the timing is reliable. No more boiling a bucket load of water on the stove, waiting for it to come to boil, putting a timer, rushing to switch it off, draining the hot water or scooping the pasta out, making a mess etc etc. All that seems from a bygone age now! Easy peasy time-saver. Thank the lord for amazon reviews...

I'm really happy with this pasta cooker. It is so easy as you just put the pasta and cold water in the cooker. It works well for dried, fresh and stuffed pasta. It is quite large so check the dimensions, my microwave is on the bigger size so I have no issues with the size.

I knew the cooker would be a snug fit in my microwave. Turntable couldn’t revolve (but no surprise there). Spag cooked perfectly in a fraction of the usual time. No messing around with steaming saucepan and strainer. Yet to try other pastas/rice, but seems to be a a good buy! IMPORTANT - CHECK (AND CHECK AGAIN!) YOUR MICROWAVE INTERIOR SIZE BEFORE ORDERING. Also, (optional) suggest having some kitchen towel handy to mop up the drips inside the microwave.

You definitely need to check the size of your microwave. It comes with lots of information and some good pasta sauce recipes. I preferred to use a colander rather than the lid and I found I the pasta needed a couple of extra minutes. A really good product with the benefit of using less energy.

Does the job have had better pasta cookers

Quite expensive but worth it. The quality is excellent, sturdy and durable. It doesn’t fit in my microwave either so I removed the glass plate and trivet… no problem and a microwave doesn’t have to rotate to be effective!

Easy way to prepare pasta in microwave for the ones like me that do not like to loose time cooking and cleaning pots and pans. Just add pasta, water and some salt. Follow the instructions provided for cooking time and watch out when the pasta cooker is removed from the microwave as it is hot, not to burn yourself, this is common sense. To drain water better to use a colander. No mess in the microwave and easy to clean. I am satisfied. Deserves a 5 stars.

This has really saved me so much time. It cuts the preparation of pasta to around 30 seconds. It has made my life so much easier as I'm able to feed the kids really quickly with pretty much no effort. Try it!

Bastante funcional

Simple, eficaz y te saca de un apuro en minutos. Sigo usándola regularmente y cumple su promesa: pasta perfecta y limpieza mínima... si la usas para lo que está diseñada. Ahora, pasemos a la anécdota que me obligó a deducir una estrella, no al producto, sino a la inteligencia básica humana en ciertas circunstancias. Un día, mi hermano mayor me visitó, y como yo tenía que salir corriendo al trabajo, le dejé el Lékué en la encimera, señalando que se hiciera algo rápido de comer. La vajilla estaba limpia y en su sitio. Mi querido hermano, en un momento de lucidez catastrófica, decidió que para "no tener mucho que limpiar después" (entiéndase: un solo plato), decidió que sería aún más eficiente cortar la comida directamente sobre el plástico, utilizando un cuchillo de metal. Aparentemente, la idea de que usar un tenedor y un cuchillo de metal en un recipiente de plástico no es buena idea se le escapó por completo. El resultado: El Quick Pasta sigue funcionando para la pasta, pero ahora tiene unos surcos decorativos dignos de un grabado rupestre, cortesía de la "vajilla única" de mi hermano. Es la prueba viviente de que, a veces, el enemigo de un gran producto no es el diseño, sino la pereza extrema con ambiciones de minimalismo.

Entusiasta per la resa di questo oggetto, non avrei mai pensato che potesse funzionare così bene. Il materiale è di ottima qualità, l'uso è facile e sicuro seguendo accuratamente le istruzioni allegate. Fin dal primo utilizzo ho ottenuto spaghetti cotti perfettamente al dente. Ho provato diversi tipi di pasta lunga di diverse misure (spaghetti integrali, spaghettini, linguine) e sono rimasta molto soddisfatta. Il risultato è stato eccellente così come si può ottenere con la cottura tradizionale in pentola. Non ho condito la pasta direttamente nel contenitore perché temo che nel tempo potrebbe forse rimanere macchiato; probabilmente non accadrebbe, ma non mi va di rischiare. Non l'ho ancora provato con la pasta corta (io sono una fanatica della pasta lunga!) ma non ho dubbi sul risultato che si potrà ottenere. Sono stata anche fortunata perché il prezzo era in promozione ed ho risparmiato parecchio. Promosso! Ve lo consiglio. ***Aggiungo una nota, perché mi urta vedere affermazioni errate che potrebbero dissuadere dall'acquisto alcune persone, e sarebbe un vero peccato. Tutte le recensioni (più la mia) sono positive a riguardo di questo utilissimo oggetto, tolto una che mi permetto di controbattere, cioè quella del signore che afferma che il cuoci pasta 'non gira' dentro il microonde e che pertanto si è affrettato a restituirlo. Certo che gira, invece, ma ci vuole un microonde grande, avrebbe dovuto controllare le misure prima di lamentarsi a sproposito. Poi sempre lo stesso signore ci vuol dimostrare (con video e ripetuti tocchi di dita infastidite) che il coperchio in silicone non si riesce ad incastrarlo capovolto come da istruzioni sopra la base, al momento di scolare via l'acqua di cottura. Altro fake! Il coperchio dopo aver cotto la pasta è ammorbidito dal calore e si incastra in un attimo. Per estrarlo dal microonde poi... Si usano due mani e il gioco è fatto! Dopo più di un mese dall'acquisto e dopo tanti piatti di pasta cotti alla perfezione sono sempre più soddisfatta del mio acquisto. Cinque stelle sono anche poche.

Better than I thought

Dieser 'Topf' ist fantastisch für die Mikrowelle. Ich habe bisher nur Nudeln darin gegart, aber es funktioniert super. Gerade für Menschen, die allein leben und keine Reste wollen, die dann eh wieder vom Kühlschrank in den Müll wandern(da im Kühlschrank vergessen, dass man das Essen noch hat.....) ist dieser Topf sehr gut. Ich koche die Menge, die ich essen möchte, gieße das heiße Wasser NICHT ab, sondern nehme ihn mit an den Tisch und nehme mir mit der Gabel die Menge Spaghetti auf den Teller, die ich möchte. Der Rest bleibt heiß im heißen Wasser. Auf dem Teller die kalte Nudelsoße auf die sehr heißen Spaghetti geben, vermengen und schon ist Beides von der Temperatur her optimal zum DIREKTEN Essen. Besser geht es nicht. Auch wenn man mal krank ist und müde und träge, einfach optimal. Ich empfehle auch Menschen mit psychischen Problemen und wenig Antrieb sich was zu kochen diesen Topf. Echt sehr gut. Möchte ihn nicht mehr missen.
