Semiconductor Devices for High-Speed Optoelectronics

This is THE book for circuit-level modeling of optoelectronic devices for optical systems. Every circuit model is derived from physics-based model including lasers, modulators, PDs, passives, etc. The physics is detailed and easy-to-follow for understanding the circuit-level abstraction. If you want to learn circuit-level and system-level modeling of a photonic system, this is THE book you are looking for. One drawback is the ring modulator is missing. But this is still an excellent book for anyone serious about photonic systems.

Il testo si rivolge ai curricula di laurea magistrale in ingegneria elettronica, con indirizzo rivolto ai dispositivi e circuiti elettronici. Le tematiche presentate sono numerose e tutte ben strutturate.Consiglio, sempre del professor Ghione, il testo "Dispositivi per la microelettronica" (purtroppo solo in lingua italiana) e "Microwave electronics".
