Buy Harassment Architecture by Ma, Mike (ISBN: 9781795641494) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE - Ever since I heard about Mike Ma's Harrassment Architecture, my life has never been the same. Gone are the days of being a useless sap/desk jockey. I am now becoming fitter, more intelligent and refining my character in ways I could of never previously conceived. Mr. Ma's book very concisely summarises the plight of current society through his lens of black comedy to present the reader with a book that is thorough without being too wordy or verbose. A full exercise of his ability to paint a scene with words are found in his recollections of events or conversations that (allegedly) didn't take place. These become the building blocks for chapters that are, at some points, only a few sentences strung together. When Mike Ma is not describing the days of rigorous exercise or incessant social functions, the reader can also look to the strands of wisdom that Mike dispenses in small paragraphs and lines throughout the book, borrowing from the philosophic greats when needs be. Very rapidly, Mike cements himself as a dogmatic, intelligent man of principle, making his writing all the more engaging at the same time. I will end this review by saying that I look forward to Mr. Ma's next title, and hope he brings us many more books like this in the years to come. Review: Accelerate The World, Decelerate Your Tribe. - This book perfectly articulates the thoughts and feelings of a man disgusted by modern society and civilization. Its erratic and (seemingly) tongue-in-cheek nature makes for effortless reading, and every chapter leaves you excited for the next. ACCELERATE.

A bullet through steel
Mike Ma is like a bullet of righteous sanity through the insanity of the modern world. Like a man at the summit of a great peak, he takes us through the valley of a schizophrenic society with a fragmentary and intoxicating prose style, shot through with an intensity of both bravado and sincerity. What this book is exactly I cannot articulate accurately, but what I know is that it is something pulsating and alive in a dying, sterile and mad world. MUST READ.

3 stars shading to 4; a brutal look at the world as it is
I can see notes of American Psycho crossed with The Monkey Wrench Gang in this short book. Our nameless hero, a blend of Patrick Bateman and Ted Kaczynski with some Tyler Durden mixed in for good measure, makes his way around a "lowerworld". Like Bateman, he's somewhat vain and has refined tastes in music; like Kaczynski, he despairs of destruction of natural and human beauty by the city, and like both those characters, he's none too fond of what he sees-deranged rants and violent, hallucinatory daydreams intersperse with some actually pretty decent and on-the-nose writing about an unreliable narrator's griping over the utilitarian ugliness of the world. Like Bateman and Kaczynski and Tyler, he is not content to look on in disgust, but makes tongue-in-cheek suggestions about destroying infrastructure or plotting accelerationism to bring it all to an end. Garbage food, ugly cities, insincere striving people, sickly lifestyles-they all end up in the ranting narration as our (anti)hero muses on a 'better' world and how it might be brought about. The humour is plentiful and DARK: "and yes, I'm not a scumbag, i checked if there was any significant damage to his car beforehand-there was, that's why I left" is an early taste of this. He must be joking, right? The stream-of-consciousness style works well at first but by the end of the book, the "stream" has washed the "consciousness" away, and without more of a plot, it doesn't so much end as grind to a halt. Worth a look, overall.

Very original I will most likely read it again in the future to solidify it's message.

This book presents an immature perspective towards the world, where the author fantasies with the destruction of modern society through violence and chaos, while idolizing an utopian society of his dreams... This book has no class, content, insights or meaning...in the end, i have thrown it in the trash.
